AlanCamelonfan
With all the talk of reconstruction in Juniors it could be a time to put the idea of a Lowland Super League thats been put about many times in the past and while at it reconstruct our other divisions I put together this idea see what you guys think. I think we are better as we are unless we went for 4 straight divisions in the East or in the even of Lowland Super League (an east/west Super League) this could be how it would look for the east. Lowland Super League 1. Kelty Hearts 2. Bo'ness United3. Bonnyrigg Rose 4. Penicuik Athletic 5. Linlithgow Rose 6. Broxburn Athletic 7. Hill O'Beath plus seven west teams East Region Championship 1. Dundonald Bluebell 2. Broughty Athletic 3. Carnoustie Panmure 4. Camelon Juniors 5. Lochee United 6. Musselburgh Athletic 7. Jeanfield Swifts 8. Newtongrange Star 9. Fauldhouse United 10. Kennoway Star Hearts 11. Forfar West End 12. Sauchie Juniors 13. Arniston Rangers 14. Dalkeith Thistle South Livingston United Stoneyburn Harthill Royal Craigroyston Edinburgh United West Calder United Easthouses Lily Dunbar United Pumpherston Whitburn Juniors Armdale Thistle Haddington Athletic Bathgate Thistle Tranent Blackburn United Central Crossgates Primrose Luncarty Kinnoull Newburgh Scone Thistle Kirkcaldy YM Rosyth Oakley United Lochgelly Albert Glenrothes Thornton Hibs St.Andrews Lochore Welfare North. Kirriemuir Thistle Forfar Albion Brechin Vics Arbroath Vics Coupar Angus Lochee Harp East Craigie Dundee North End Tayport Dundee Violet Downfield Blairgowrie 2 up and 2 down from lowland super league. Championship winners up. bottom 3 relegated to Regional division. 4th Bottom in 2 legged semi final and 1 off final neutral venue with runners up from bottom leagues. East of Scotland cup for 61 East teams. regional league cup for 54 non lowland super league teams. Format whatever u like. Lowland Super league would have 26 games East of Scotland and Scottish Junior cup and so less likely to have to ram so many games into end of season. 6 games at start of season done by end of august 4 sats and 2 midweeks as happens in East. Teams with floodlights should be playing under them, until it could be possible to have all teams with lights. I don't think they'd have as much of a backlog of fixtures for the top teams maybe. AlanCamelonfan
WHy is it imagine wanting to think outside the box. This is the reason for these discussions because people don't want to change. IT would make the Elite possibly stay in the JUniors and would actually rectify the bottom of the grade aswell

IT would make the Elite possibly stay in the JUniors and would actually rectify the bottom of the grade aswell I don't think there's too much desire for a combined East/West Superleague. The two Superleagues are already pretty strong, I don't see there's much to gain from it. The potential of having Ayrshire clubs travelling to Tayside for a league games kills the idea stone dead. dealornodeal
Why are Linlithgow in it and Dundonald out if going by current league positions

I;m basing it on how i'd forecast the Super League finishing but seeing as how it wouldn't happen for a number of seasons the teams in it could in theory be different it was just to give an idea of how it would look. marconi
i dont know how many times it has to be said west premier teams have no interest in a combined league
ex-german exile
i dont know how many times it has to be said west premier teams have no interest in a combined league Correct. It would just dilute the quality of the league for a few seasons until all but two or three east teams got relegated.
AlanCamelonfan
The usual west arrogance there.

Blue White Dynamite
Just making a statement based on junior cup performance. To be fair, one off matches are different than a league campaign.
Blackie Gold
To be fair our bottom club did pump the East runaway leaders on their own patch in the last round.
AlanCamelonfan
One off cup games are different from a league campaign as and blue and white dynamite said. Plenty east teams have put out west teams in past seasons
ex-german exile
Don't be so arrogant Blackie, it was a one off match [emoji12] To win the league you have to be consistent, not just a cup team like Talbot. Oh! Wait! Don't they regularly win the West Premier as well?
AlanCamelonfan
Camelon beat glenafton 2-1 in semi first leg they beat us 2-0 in the second leg a few years ago a win each. That would be 3 points each in a league game. Bo'ness beat Auchinleck in a Junior cup tie a couple of years ago. You could go on. Camelon beat Troon aswell a couple of years ago you could go on. Blackie Gold
The new super league would be West dominated. Kelty, Bo'ness and Bonnyrigg would probably hold their own.
AlanCamelonfan
Thats where your stupid. Linlithgow Rose have had a bad couple of seasons but have been traditionally been oen of the top dogs. THe teams you mentioned particularly Kelty and Bonnyrigg have been up and down so things can change in the JUnior game season by season
