Bit premature given still SFs & Final to go this season - but to answer OP's question no-one seems to have got licensed so far this season.

Newton Stewart, the only unlicensed member, must by the summer or supposedly they lose their membership. But everyone thought that last year.

In terms of qualifiers - no unlicensed club can win SOSL. Looks like Leith or LTHV in EOSL. Still long way to go in Junior competitions and Amateur Cup.

There is a thread on the SOSL subforum suggesting the winners of a South & East Cup-Winners' Shield may be given a place, in the way the winners of the South and East leagues, Junior leagues and Scottih Junior Cup have. Final of that competition is on April 29th pitting Lochar Thistle (Southern Alternate Cup holders) v LTHV (Alex Jack Cup holders).

Bump.

It seems no new club has got licensed to date. Newton Stewart remain the only unlicensed member. In terms of competitions which qualify, or purportedly will, their champions:

South of Scotland League - won by Edusport Academy, but already an SFA member
East of Scotland League - will be won by either Leith Athletic or Lothian Thistle HV. LTHV are 2pts behind with 1 game in hand. They meet at LTHV in the last game on May 13th.

South & East of Scotland Cup-Winners' Shield - final is at Lockerbie tomorrow between Lochar Thistle and Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale.

West Juniors - Kirkintilloch Rob Roy are the leaders. Glenafton Athletic are 2pts behind with 1 game in hand. Auchinleck Talbot are 4pts behind with 1 game in hand.
East Juniors - Kelty Hearts are the leaders. Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic are 18pts behind with 7 games in hand.
North Juniors - Banks o'Dee are the leaders, but already an SFA member. Stonehaven are 10pts behind and both have only 5 games left. They meet at Stonehaven on May 6th.

Junior Cup - final is at Kilmarnock on June 5th between Auchinleck Talbot and Glenafton Athletic

Amateur Cup - final is at Hampden on May 28th between Colville Park and either Southside or Bowhill Rovers (who play their Semi-Final tonight).

That's right. I've not seen it confirmed anywhere - although that's probably as it officially can't be confirmed until SFA's AGM like when the Amateur Cup got its place? But for example one south-west journalist tweeted quite matter-of-factly today "the winners of the Shield will enter the William Hill Scottish Cup next season".

If they do it wouldn't be strange though... Apparently the tournament has been introduced specifically for this purpose going by thread in SOSL sub-forum. At the moment Junior clubs have 2 routes into the Scottish Cup each season, by winning their Superleague or by winning the Scottish Junior Cup. Non-members in the East and South leagues have only 1 route in, by winning their league. That is clearly not very fair.

South & East of Scotland Cup-Winners' Shield (which is played for the first time tomorrow) pits the winner of the longstanding EOS Non-Members Cup, called the Alex Jack Cup, with the winner of an equivalent SOS tournament introduced this season called the Southern Alternate Cup - although I've also seen it called the "South Alba Cup".

Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale won 6-1 today. It appears they led 1-0 early-on, Lochar pegged them back, then LTHV roared away in second half.

EDIT: You make an interesting point about the North Caledonian. All things being equal their league winner should qualify for the Scottish Cup, and they should have a non-members cup (which would include everyone except Golspie!) sending its champion into what would then be the North, South & East of Scotland Cup-Winners' Shield? Though that would be 3 teams which might be a bit awkward. Maybe whichever league won the year prior could enter both finalists...

In practice though they live in a kind of strange shadow land of senior football. They're SFA members but hold no voting rights etc. unlike all other senior leagues. They aren't part of the pyramid. Only from this season does SFA seem to have even taken-on the job of appointing their referees. Until recently there were annual question marks over the league even continuing as it dropped to as few as 6 clubs. That said it has rallied somewhat this season with 8 clubs and nowadays EOSL isn't much bigger.

All things being equal the winner of the Welfare FA Cup should qualify in the same way as the Amateur Cup, too, if you think about it? Again they're very much the poorer and smaller relation, though.

Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale won the East of Scotland League yesterday so even if the Cup-Winners' Shield is rubberstamped they would qualify on 2 counts. Runnersup cannot qualify.

Kelty Hearts are now 12pts clear in East Juniors with 16 better GD; they've 2 games to play and Bonnyrigg have 5 left. So one more win for Kelty, or Bonnyrigg losing, would all but clinch it.

West Juniors remains very tight. Kirkintilloch have 40pts (2 games left); Glenafton have 40pts (3 games left); Beith have 39pts (1 game left); Auchinleck have 39pts (3 games left) and of course Glenafton and Auchinleck meet in Junior Cup Final.

Amateur Cup Final outlined above.

Banks o'Dee have won the North Juniors. They are already SFA members. Runnersup cannot qualify.

Newton Stewart do not seem to have got licensed, but they were still allowed to enter this season and perhaps will be again.

Making that assumption about Newton Stewart, and there being no tweaks to the cup arrangements, then if Auchinleck or Glenafton do "the double" there will be 4 or 5 qualifiers next season and accordingly the preliminaries would contain:

First Preliminary Round (4 or 5 ties)... 4 or 5 qualifiers + Newton Stewart + 3 or 4 licensed clubs drawn to play in PR1
Second Preliminary Round (6 ties)... Burntisland, Coldstream, Preston; St Cuthbert, Threave, Wigtown; Golspie; Banks o'Dee, Girvan, Linlithgow; Glasgow Uni (of which 3 or 4 drawn to play in PR1)

This assumes that once again the licensed clubs required to play in PR1 are randonly drawn, and not based on league position.

Kelty won today.

Even if Bonnyrigg win all 4 remaining games - including a visit to Kelty - they'll also need to overhaul GD deficit of 12.

Bonnyrigg have Carnoustie, Jeanfield and Linlithgow to play at home prior to the (hopefully) decider against Kelty. They are currently in 10th,11th and 13th and while safe from relegation maybe aren't much better than the teams that have gone down.

Indeed. Across the grade divide LTHV only had Tweedmouth to play, and we all know what happened there...

Wed 24 May ... Bonnyrigg v Jeanfield
Sat 27 May ... Bonnyrigg v Carnoustie
??? ?? ??? ... Bonnyrigg v Linlithgow
??? ?? ??? ... Kelty v Bonnyrigg

Everyone loves a last-day decider. Looking like June 3rd?

Colville Park retained the Scottish Amateur Cup on Sunday, qualifying once again.

Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic had eaten their way through a monster backlog and a big GD deficit... and left themself knowing that 1-0 wins tonight and on Saturday would see them retain the East Junior crowd. It wasn't to be. They went down 2-0 at home to Linlithgow Rose this evening, handing the title to Kelty Hearts who will play in the flagship for the first time. It is widely reported that they are moving to the EOS League next season and if so they will not actually be a Junior by the time that debut comes.

This leaves the only undecided issue as whether Auchinleck can qualify by winning the Junior Cup on Sunday.
