Praying for a draw at Almondvale to get the full set of seven games v Livingston/

Surely the "full set" these days would be 9?

4x League
2x Scottish Cup
1x League Cup group stage
1x League Cup knockout
1x Challenge Cup

Even before the LC groups stages came back, it would have been 8, not 7, for a club in the Championship and below.

If you throw in 2-legged playoff and a local cup such as the Fife, East of Scotland or Forfarshire (admittedly in RanaldoBairn's case not them as the Stirlingshire is in abeyance) the maximum is 12.

Do local cups have replays? If not, it's only 11 if you include those and the play-offs.

Great draw for Fraserburgh that. Bit of a money spinner, a fair chance of it being televised and they get to host the support who are THE People in their hometown and home ground. Who says the romance of the Cup is dead?

Was going to ask if the Falkirk fans had given up on the play offs.

Although that is less worrying that HJ thinking that 480 plus 2,250 is exactly 3,000...

It’s been cleared with the mods and anyone who bites to this is immediately banned from the forum.

Fair do's.

Can anybody top FFC/PTFC and LFC/AFC with seven meetings then?

There was a thread about this some time ago, down in the Infowire sub-forum IIRC, but it may have been lost in Div's outrageous cull.

Back in the days of unlimited replays you could rack-up high totals of course - although there were no playoffs then - plus the local cups were first-team competitions.

EDIT: It would also be laborious to research now, with Statto.com defunct.

There were 9 Dundee derbies in 1987-88. I think OF record is 10. Edinburgh also double-figures, IIRC.

The guy who runs the Fraserburgh supporters club has Rangers memorabilia all over his house so I think it is fair to say there will be some locals in the away end.

Yes. We played Hearts EIGHT times in 78-79.

Four league games, a two-legged League Cup tie and a Scottish Cup tie which went to a replay. The only one we lost was the cup replay, where my avatar scored the only goal of the game.
