Glasgow Uni and Burntisland (pre-EOSL) have done it several times just since the current format came in for 2007-08.

Aye that's why I said I know what you mean. he's also forgetting Queen's Park are an amateur side.

There'll be others dotted about too (e.g. in EOSL, SOSL, even LL there will be clubs that don't pay)... Without checking I think Colville beating Peterhead = SAFA club in new R3 could be a first, tbf.

Aye there must be quite a few sides in the LL, EOSL and SOSL who don't pay wages. The university sides will be amateurs for a start.

A wee heads up...third round draw will take place at Links Park, after the Montrose vs Stirling Uni tie. Scheduled for 17:45.

Connie McLaughlin will host proceedings with Archie Knox and Derek Sim, Chairman of Links Park Community Trust. The full draw will be streamed live on the official Scottish Cup Facebook page - www.facebook.com/scottishcup.

Great to see the draw back on a Saturday evening - where it should always be!

Hoping we get a brand new team we've never played before or Montrose at EEP for a Stewart Petrie Appreciation Day.

This I always used to love when you won a cup tie and within the next hour you knew who you were getting in the next round:) fans are still on a high after their side wins, all this waiting a few days for a draw just takes the excitement and drama out of it.

I wonder if this is just for the early rounds and they will reverse to type when they get further into the tournament?

SFA in doing something sensible shock:lol:
