Odds on QOTS making the playoffs now?

Worth noting that Queens have played a game more than we have and are only 3 points ahead of us

Nice to see Morton fans supporting St Mirren tonight, the reason being they'd miss the Renfrewshire derbies next season if Saints went down

Thoroughly enjoyed a cracking game of football at least from a neutral perspective.

St Mirren deserved the win if only because no team that were as bad as United were in the first 10 minutes should ever take something from a game.

I felt they had got themselves well into the game when they equalised but threw away a second goal.

They were the better side second half and had the header gone in instead of hitting the outside of the post then they might well have won.

Instead they get hit on the counter to go 3-1 down and then score a belter to make it 3-2. Andreu is a class player and wasted in that team.

They threw everything at St Mirren from then on without creating a clear cut chance.

St Mirren battled and battled and got great support from the stands. They are far more likely to be playing Championship football next season than United are Premiership football.

Great entertainment.

Which ones?

I'm pretty sure we won't be in either, but the points gap and our form would actually point us down the way, rather than upwards.

The thing giving me faith that we'll probably be fine, is that lots of teams sit between us and 9th, meaning we'll have to be significantly worse than several sides.  As Hibs showed when leaving the top flight though, that in itself guarantees nothing.

We're certainly not going to trouble the promotion play-offs though.

Glorious result. Horrendous trying to follow it on Twitter. Just a shame that didn't come last week at Raith.

If we can get ourselves off the bottom ahead of the final, even just on goal difference, that would be a huge psychological boost for the league. Couldn't care about the cup, would take the win tonight over it easily given our situation.

United were rotten until Mikkleson came on.

When they went 4 up top second half and were shelling the ball and winning it more often than not you felt we were going to throw it away.

Still the boys dug deep and got the result.

Only hope Harry Davis injury isn't too bad. He's been great but I suspect that might finish his season.

Sounds like the grass was a wee bit long tonight for Ray McKinnon. Or maybe it was a bit breezy. Or presumably Saints scored three 'freak' goals.

Either way, as concerning as it is to see St Mirren picking up another impressive three points, it's hilarious to imagine how seething McKinnon will be.
