You can't just keep changing the defence all the time. That was part of the problem when we were losing games earlier in the season.

I think Watson and Grant are our best pairing and that's who we should go with. Accept that they haven't been perfect but let them build up an understanding and I'm sure they'll improve.

Today reminded me a lot of the Ayr game. Could've and should've won, just a little bit sloppy all over the park. We can't really afford for Sibbald and Hippolyte to have an off game and that was the case today. Plenty of chances in the first half with a shot off the post in the second, one off the line, a very marginal offside goal and what I thought was a clear penalty. Fair play to Dumbarton, they always have a go at TFS and they must have one of the best records of any team over the last few seasons here. Too often in the second half we picked the wrong option in the final third, I'm not sure Houston got the subs right either. Frustrating as another chance to gain points on those around us missed. Only real positive for me was Austin getting his first league goal which wasn't the easiest chance to put away. Att 4,160 (112 away)

Lost O'Ware at Morton's first last week and let Vaughan waltz through for Dumbarton's first this week. Incapable of tackling.

You're singling out 1 player, even though there were about 4 different players he waltzed past on his way to scoring?

I thought we worked hard today. Weren't anywhere near our best but we were good enough to merit a point. Decent game of football in the end, even if neither 'keeper actually had many saves to make.

Ref was abysmal for both sides and the amount of small (a lot of the time not even really) fouls he gave yet missed so many clear fouls. Then both sides were stealing loads of yards at throw ins, constantly. But there were 2 random times in the match he decided to tell the player to move back a bit.

That being said, his incompetence didn't do anything to contribute to the end result, regardless of the old fella at the end arguing with me otherwise. He was certainly one of the "Falkirk should be beating this wee side" kinda twats.

Did you not listen to Houston's interview after the game last week?

He said that it was Austin who was assigned to pick up O'Ware at the set pieces. So you are wrong placing the blame for that one on Watson.

Is Hippolyte any good for you guys? I've seen him quite a few times for you and Livingston, and can honestly say I've never been impressed

Been our POY by some distance so far.

He's decent once every 4/5 games. Even then, he'll do sod all but infuriate for 89 minutes then score or produce something fantastic.

Really is amazing how differently we all view things. Being decent once every 4/5 games would suggest he isn't anywhere near consistent enough. I have never been impressed with him, but I think he just hates playing against us. Especially since Fraser Wright made him lose the plot a couple of years back.

Lewis Kidd needs to come in for Aaron Muirhead. There I said it. And I stand by it.

Totally agree. Aside from a long throw & now penalties I can't see why he in the team - basically an NFL specialist type player. Positional sense poor, not great at tackling & rarely seen a more panicky individual. I do enjoy his overly aggressive shouts at other players tho. Grant telling Aird to get on attackers toes & Muirhead correcting him to add on his 'f*****g' toes was good yesterday. Aird opted to ignore both instructions [emoji106]

If we don't win forget 2nd IMO. It has to be about our approach. Get the attitude spot on we will win.

Wasn't there and didn't watch on FFCTV. However listening to Houston it seems the attitude was all wrong and we didn't win as a result.

We have to be a able to lift ourselves for these teams. We have dropped 5 points to these this season, drawn with Ayr at home, failed to see out a game at St.Mirren and got thumped at home v Raith. Points we need to be picking up if we ever want to get out of this league.

Good to see Fash getting his first league goal for you guys. Hopefully that's the start of many.

Has his first touch always been so bad? I do really like Austin but by f**k his touch was awful yesterday.

Like has been said he's been by quite a distance our best player this season and far more than 'one decent game every 4 or 5'. If he was consistent and at his best every game he wouldn't be with us.

He's improved a hell of a lot since we signed him last year and if he just adds a bit more consistency to his game he'll get a decent move imo.

To be fair, he was honking yesterday.

Aye, he's not purposely giving the ball away or having a bad game though. The guy is largely good for us but still some haven't got over him replacing Andy Graham. It's the only explanation.

But Andy Graham scored 2 goals yesterday!  Just shows we shouldn't have got rid of him!

I would agree.

I would also say a percentage of our fans are sentimental fuckin lunatics, who know f**k all about football and just care about 'their boys'. One of them dyes their hair the same colour as the gaffer. Absolutely mind blowing.

FWIW I'm not lumping Big Mac into the above category.
