Arch Stanton
I think I'll come up for this, as a fully-fledged cup final out-of-the-woodwork-crawler. I'd take Fir Park. Direct train from Newcastle. How long does it take to walk from the station to the stadium there? It's a good 15 minute walk. Airbles is closer but I doubt your train from Newcastle will stop there. We used to leave the away stand and you could make the 5.15 train to Glasgow by a couple of minutes which was quicker than waiting on one from Airbles. Away stand is the furthest from the station though!
Archie McSquackle
I live in Glasgow and drive to Motherwell for the home games via M8, M73 and M74 and it's generally fine at that time of day but a shambles at rush hour during the week. I've not been on it since the new diversion came in but I'll see how it is on Saturday.

Being honest, the lunchtime one would suit me better, but the evening one would be a better atmosphere. Lunchtime games are usually pretty flat (IMO). jamamafegan
Fir Park is the perfect choice. It will probably be sold out and there'll be a great atmosphere. Easter Road would have been cavernous. For once the SPFL does the right thing.

Decent atmosphere at the game and was right size for midweek match.

The one thing I would say is the surface is still looking great. I thought the surface at Dens looked great at the weekend as well but that's not really a viable option! East End surface is rotten just now. Maybe because we have USH working again (ie we paid to fix it and pay the folk for the oil now too).
Coventry Saint
Fir Park confirmed, then, 12.30 kick off. Should be able to get up for that, no bother. Home in time to put the kid to bed.

Sarto Mutiny
Although the ground itself is an absolute craphole, I can get to Motherwell by train in 45 minutes. Which is what really matters.

sergie's no1 fan
I'm puzzled as to why you think this, eck? I thought it was a pretty crap kick off time for you guys, but at least it's on the Saturday. It also gives us the rest of the day to get drunk on irn-bru no matter the result. Jim McLean's Ghost
Fir Park has been confirmed for hours and no Midden fan has posted the 2-3 highlights. I'm disappointed.
Demented Zebra
Well I would say shorter time travel for Saints fans bit unfair should be in the middle somewhere. I will be going at least can get a ferry back home on the day. Maybe i should book a hotel in Paisley as there is always a hell of a party in the town after a cup win. eckthearab
I'm puzzled as to why you think this, eck? The time doesn't bother me, more drinking time after. Decent capacity, not the worst for atmosphere. Not the most difficult place to get to. Would have rather it had been Easter road but hey ho. Plus it's on the Saturday, the correct day to be playing.
