Twinkle
If its now Saturday or Sunday, i wont be making it unfortunately. Im down in Wales for the weekend for my mates testimonial at Cardiff City. I reckon they should have second thoughts on a friday night final IMHO

eckthearab
Dundee Utd have scuppered the Friday night plan, game will now be on the Sat 25th March at Fir Park. Either lunchtime or early evening kick off. Right Div, where you getting yer info from? Utd site, bbc and spfl pages have no mention of this news [emoji848]

It is not, however, a good selection as it isn't exactly great for us Utd fans...

eckthearab
He's itk at Saints I'm happy with it if true but Alba are to show it, and they can't do that at 3pm on a Saturday as I understand it. Happy to be wrong tho [emoji6]

With the road works at the west end of the M8 it'll probably be quicker for United fans to get there than Saints fans.
Archie McSquackle
Saints fans won't go via the roadworks - they'll go straight along the M74 and off at Motherwell.
Archie McSquackle
Fir Park does seem a strange choice to me but it's second in the poll behind East End Park.I take it the United fans see Dunfermline as a fairly sensible neutral venue that's easier for them to get to and the Saints fans are probably viewing Motherwell the same way. The one thing I would say is the surface is still looking great. I thought the surface at Dens looked great at the weekend as well but that's not really a viable option! Good to know. I live in Glasgow, so keep forgetting about that bit of the M74 :-)! Sounds like going from Glasgow would still make sense to head back west first and get on to the M74? H Wragg
There are roadworks on the M74 as well.
Coventry Saint
I think I'll come up for this, as a fully-fledged cup final out-of-the-woodwork-crawler. I'd take Fir Park. Direct train from Newcastle. How long does it take to walk from the station to the stadium there?
irvine_buddie
I live in Cambuslang so Motherwell is handy for me Closer than a home game.
Smeato
I work in Uddingston, so if it is Fir Park, leave plenty of time for travelling. The M74 and M8 are an utter shambles at the moment.
