If so, that's a new rule.
It's been played at the ground of a top flight side on plenty of occasions, most recently in 2014.

It's an old SFL thing, used I not like giving SPL sides the money and didn't do so until your game vs Ross county left them with little choice but McDiarmid, the suits then decided they love the place and have used any excuse to play games there. Now the leagues are re-unified it's irrelevant.

Depending on how many tickets united think they'll sell it will be either McDiarmid or Easter road.

Sponsors got final that they wanted.

Have to say that I was pleased that St Mirren did the business today - don't think it would have been a great advert for Scottish Champ football if a Welsh non league team had travelled north and taken the spoils.

They weren't a bad side and without the sending off not sure that Buddies would necessarily have gone through.

By the point of the sending off,  we were well on top. They had barely been in our box in the second half.

In fact,  shite as we were in that first half today,  TNS weren't exactly all over us and only troubled us on one other occasion than the goal and forced O'brien into a good save.

Yeah, for all they had plenty of the ball in the final third they didn't do much with it. O'Brien had a save, they had a deflected shot, a missed header and the goal. We had almost as many chances in the first half despite being pish.

We were on top in the second half but didn't look like even creating a chance until that worldie from McGinn. He was outstanding and is too good for this level. Just hope his injury isn't too bad and he can play next week.

Agree with you. Iwas confident St Mirren would win today, backed them at 9/5 before the game and at 11/1 at half time.Didn,t think the game was in doubt once you equalised.

I got a lovely wee double of St Mirren and Dundee and btts in each match.

It's going to be held at Livi isn't it?:unsure2:

Almondvale (or whatever monstrosity of a name it has now) is a really good ground, imo. Perfect for this sort of cup final, where a sellout is probable.

The only letdown is the complete lack of pubs or a decent transport setup around the town. But then, when your alternatives are playing in Grangemouth or Airdrie, might as well be in Livingston anyway.

Price was that dj ?.

Just over 41/1 for the double and a fiver on it.  Dundee were 15/2 and we were 4/1.

Also had a fiver on both straight wins double so total would've been £282 back for my tenner and I cashed out on both lines at 2-1 when TNS had a free kick on edge of the box with 15 left. Ended up getting £248 between the two lines.

Believe there is a good chance the final will be on a Friday night, 24th March.

Firhill is a possible venue.

There are no restrictions on who can host it but actually every club in the SPFL entered this year anyway.

Would rather Friday night than Sunday lunch time.

Downside with Friday night will be the traffic, I reckon if it's at Firhill it halves the United support. Then again we'll take more than we would if the game was at Perth/EEP.

Ach it will all get sorted anyway, there will be some fans left pissed off with where ever the game is played because you can't please everyone.

Wales. Minter of a place.

They're not from Wales, but your point is valid.

My thoughts on the game: I was very disappointed with Storie yesterday - for a DM, he was neither breaking up play, nor playing the short, simple passes successfully. That we looked more solid when he went off, and we went to a regulation 4-4-2, spoke volumes. His non tackle, and then failure to track back, for the goal, was very poor indeed.

McGinn strolled that second half, once Storie wasn't getting in the way, once Mallan looked interested again and once Morgan stretched them wider. Even if the ref hadn't sent off their guy, you'd assume Mallan would have still scored the free kick and TNS were dead on their feet at the point anyway.

TNS really were a very poor outfit: we flattered them in the first half, but once we decided the novel tactic of moving the ball around quickly, pushing it wide and actually finding other white shirts with our passes, they couldn't cope. It'll never catch on :(

That would be good, better than a Sunday anyway. Not ideal for Dundee U fans travelling through though.

Hopefully McGinn is fit for Ayr on Saturday because he is too good for this level, said in his interview after the game that he just stiffened up later in the game after taking a knock from the sending off tackle. Couldn't believe they gave Mallan the MOTM and not Mcginn, Mallan will have to share his glass bottle of Irn Bru that he won with McGinn .

Their chairman is a complete lunatic.

They have about six fans and are the only full time Welsh team.

They'd be ruined in the English leagues which is why they'll never join.

They need that champions league money.

Even the partisan Welsh commentators were effusive in their praise of McGinn. It's ridiculous that we were able to sign him in the position we're in, TBH.

They are very Celtic Nationy. I can see them disappearing down the plughole in ten years or so.
