peasy23
http://www.transport.gov.scot/a8diversion Just a reminder for anyone traveling across central Scotland in the near future that this fresh hell is unleashed on Friday, and is expected to last for 10 weeks, obviously it will affect quite a few of the Scottish Junior Cup games this Saturday. Also heard today that they have a major flooding problem with the new A725 underpass at the Raith interchange as it sits lower than the local water table. The club is good and there are a dozen alternatives within a couple of hundred yards.

Harvey's on the corner of Lochburn Road is the nearest, but yeah - there are loads of pubs up and down Maryhill Road. The club's obviously the most convenient though, and as a Brucie bonus recently got Drygate Gladeye in on tap.
ddfg
Sthis explains how we r leaving earlier. Any idea how long diversion will add to journey? The actual diversions look like they are quite short, the problem will be the tailbacks because of everyone having to come off the motorway and go round numerous roundabouts etc to get back on again. I drive past there everyday and on a good day the existing roadworks on the M74/73 add 10-15 minutes into a half hour drive to the east end of Glasgow

If you are coming up from Ayrshire can you not just cut across at EK and miss out the closure?Or is there a problem with that route too?
BumbleBeeBlastie
In my opinion having traveled the m8 every day this week there is 5 minutes added to your journey.! It's been no worse than it's been for last couple years. As for glenafton going Dunbar. No need to go near the m8 at all.
