SUPERBOWL LI

Such an OF fan response.

Such a faux morally superior response. You can't be 'real' fans of the sport if you follow a team who've enjoyed a reasonable level of recent success. Need to pick an obscure team who are pish to show one's in depth knowledge and true commitment to the game. Snooze Zzzzzzzz

As a fan of the Redskins the Superbowl is like being a Motherwell on on Scottish Cup final day.  Where Motherwell are remembered for being one half (and winner) of one of the best Cup Finals the Redskins are known as being the greatest ever Superbowl champs (1991 Redskins) and often thought of as being the "holders" of the tag Greatest Team never to win it" (1984 - LA Raiders done them over).

Anyway, to the present, and like many here are saying f**k the Patriots.  Falcons by 7.  Done.

The greatest team never to win it was the Bills who made 4 consecutive finals and lost them all.

In the 80s and early 90s The AFC only played in the SB because they had too.   It's the downfall of the two way organisation.

The Billd were smacked around by the Cowboys and 91 Skins. If the Bills were in the NFC they would never reached the playoffs never mind a Superbowl (working on the fact they would have been in the NFC East).

The Bills in their 4 super bowl loss seasons were 14-2 against NFC teams in the regular season, including away wins over New York and Dallas in the seasons both teams beat them in the super bowl.

A friend of a friend is claiming that he's off to Houston today for the Superbowl, and that he and his 3 pals all got a ticket. A ticket. Apparently this ticket is to be split between the 4 of them and they are all getting to see one quarter each.

I'm almost more interested in finding out what happens with him than the game itself.
