Balance Sheet FC/Raith V Scottish Cup Holders Hibernian FC

Recommended Posts

Hibs couldn't even fill their end at Hampden against us in 2006 and there were more than a few empty seats before the 51st minute in 2012, so your 30k tickets is horseshit, even if we played at the Nou Camp and everyone was given free plane travel.

That was ten years ago. The Hibs support has mobilised as seen by the 30+k in march last year, the sellout crowd vs Hearts and near sellout v Utd. Our average attendance in the Championship is brilliant as well. Hibs would sell out the ground twice over if we were to play Hearts at Easter Road. Have you never heard the old saying " When Hibs come to town, you could fill the ground without having a game on"

But as I said, with you only able to accommodate a small portion of Hibs' highest attendance this season, I think Hearts will make the ethical decision to give up a bigger stand for a bigger club.

If Hearts beat Raith Rovers, at least P&B's Hibbies won't need to transition from the previous tie: two 'Heart of Midlothian' clubs and two sets of Juniors-standard dribblers. Perhaps our Midlothian opposition will do the right thing this time and forfeit the tie: we can't have any more assault on our players, cheating officials, 'deathsch of naschional treaschuresch' and 'men against juniors' games.

I'd award Hibs the cup if we manage to pull through a tie against Hearts unscathed, out of respect for the players & families having to live with the memory of coming so close to career-ending injuries. But to be honest, I would be hiding a stiffmeister when David Gray dodges bullets and weaves through the hammer-throwers to bury a stoppage time winner and celebrates with his fellow Jambos - only to come away with Ann Budge's head for Leeann Dempster's office*.

*[spelling?]

Hibs should be allowed to keep the Scottish Cup for the next 114 years if Mrs Budge gives you any of the Wheatfield stand.

Only heard the 'when Hibs come to town, nail it down' quote. Once you come back up to the top flight, you'll be sub 9000 crowds when you sit in the bottom six come October time.

You really seem to like living in the past. Suppose that must be easier for you, Hibernian weren't Scottish Cup holders back then.

Behave. 90% of teams in The Premiership are guff. The only team in that league worth talking about is Glasgow Celtic Football Club. That's what we must strive to be like, both on and off the pitch.

LOL if you think Hibs could take 40k anywhere, the only thing being pushed is eccie tablets, mostly in your direction.

Our last 3 league cup finals in 2003,2007,2016 has seen us take 40k, 35k and 30k to hampden.

2004, only 5500 Livvy fans in the 45500 crowd? Looked a bit more than that when they were celebrating

And 30k in a 38796 crowd against the Staggies? You must have been on the counting duties when Celtic took 250k to Seville. SFA are shiting it if Hibs make the final this year. Be asking to rent the maracana to cope with the numbers

Most of the utter shite left in our squad and our brutal approach to games is Neilson and Levein's doing.

You want to sing sectarian songs and have a green brigade you wire in.
On the pitch they are currently very good and have some great players but they are far from
