Smashing post from Chris. Not really much else to add other than something he said at the game about ICT lacking any real control of the ball. Each time the ball fell the way of one of our players we seemed to aimlessly blooter it forward. Partick on the other hand seemed more inclined to take a touch and try and start some kind of passing move to lead to an attack. ICT were exceptionally direct by contrast thumping long balls to Anier to chase.

The tippy tappy guff under Hughes was boring but at least the side under him had a degree of control about it albeit quite toothless with no end product. Under Foran we are almost trying too hard to get the ball forward to get a chance when we might be better served by trying to be a bit more patient and take a touch instead of battering it high and long every time the ball comes near one of our players.

Foran seems to be trying the Mick McCarthy/South Ireland 2000-2002 tactic of just getting the ball into the danger areas as quickly as possible to try and work something off the second ball.

Worked wonders with a lanky target man and a young whippet in Quinn and Keane, unfortunately ICT don't have those kind of players.  No matter how many times McKay, Raven or Tremarco punt it long to Doumbouya.

Azeez so often ends up in one on one situations and misses the goal completely or straight at the keeper. The boy does everything else right, should be doing one on ones in training until the sun goes down til he gets this right.

Never like playing teams when they are bottom of the league and part of me is pleased with a point away from home. But should be taking our chances if we want to remain top six, so also a bit disappointed with that.
