Homer Thompson
Might be a bit early for discussing the match but Queens have produced a pin badge that might be of interest to Utd fans too, if they collect that kind of thing http://www.qosfc.com/news-3453 http://store.qosfc.com/201617-pin-badge-dundee-utd-irnbru

Distant Doonhamer
We`ve made 4 new signings so far in the window but only Dom Thomas (loan from Motherwell) is eligible for this. Rankin, Mercer and Thomson all cup-tied in earlier rounds with Falkirk, East fife and Dumbarton respectively.
die hard doonhamer
This will be my first visit to palmerston in over 2 years (since the St Johnstone scottish cup game). Quite the statistic, a very upsetting one.

I was feeling much more confident about this game after yesterday, until I remembered this. It will be a massive ask to get through this with a midfield of Jacobs and Hamill. SUPERSOUTH
How will Naysmith line up his team for this game with 3 of the starters today cup tied?
SUPERSOUTH
Hopefully Naysmith can get a closed doors friendly arranged on the free cup weekend in Feb and play the team that will be starting against United the following Saturday.

If he goes for experience coming in then presumably Hamill, Higgins and Lyle all come in. Robinson. Brownlie Dowie Higgins, Marshall. Thomas, Hamill, Jacobs, Carmichael (or Dykes) Dobbie Lyle (or Dykes) I wonder if Dykes might start up front to give us some pace there or possibly out wide ahead of Danny. Edit to add, we could of course make a new signing or 2 before then.
RUSTY1111
It will be interesting to see who Naysmith selects with having the 3 players cup-tied and who will be captain. Dobbie if he is now the vice-captain or else Dowie or Higgins.

football maniac
Robinson Dowie Brownlie Higgins Marshall Thomas Hamill Jacobs Dykes Dobbie Lyle Subs Atkinson, Hooper, Carmichael, Murray, Bell, Fergusson, + another. Anyone else in the 20s squad and half decent?
RUSTY1111
Looks a decent starting eleven. At least Dom Thomas is free to play.
palmy_cammy
Hamill in midfield looks inevitable unfortunately. I like him but he's no Joe Thomson.Given the choice I'd play Dowie at right-back ahead of Brownlie.I fear a pretty limp exit from the competition which is a shame.
