Smokerson
wouldn't have an issue with Miller being included, he been excellent in every game I have watched this season. Agree that we have far more players in form than we did in September / October so fairly optimistic about the next game.
LiviLion
Shows how desperate we are that we're not bothered if a 37 year old playing for the team 3rd in the Scottish top flight starts up front. Still be a better option than Jordan Rhodes anyway.
Ira Gaines
He'd be a better option than most of Strachan's picks up front.
forameus
I'm not sure we can see he's a better option, as we've had players playing well at club level before, but still look shite for Scotland. What he definitely is though is a different option. Fletcher and Griffiths have different games, but Martin is quite similar to Fletcher (but not as good) and Rhodes is just a bit meh at the moment. I don't think Miller is really the same as any of those, and it's always good to have different options rather than just multiples of the same. Pearbuyerbell
There's absolutely no doubt Fraser and Philips deserve a called up, and game time. But obsessing about a player because he plays in the EPL is silly. We did this with Matt Ritchie last time out, changed a winning formula and it cost us qualification. Scotland has to be a counter-attacking team with pace. So two wingers with pace, and a striker with excellent movement who can play on his own. Then we play our most technically gifted midfielders and our most solid defenders.
King Kebab
Good plan, the solid defenders bit lets it down for us though!!!

skippy2015
In Scotland we tend to dump any player over 33 whereas other nations tend to have these guys in their squads at least to help the younger players . A good example of this would be Gary mcallister booed by the tartan army against Czech Republic, retired then went on to play amazing for Liverpool for a few more years. If millers in the squad we need to still get behind the team . (Although if he did play the first shot he missed he would probably be booed) At least he is a role model for younger players in the squad unlike the likes of Bardsley and McCormack who loads of people seem to champion on this site. skippy2015
We have the oldest averaged aged squad in Europe What's that got to do with my point? Wasn't talking about the average age just that we discard some players to early and the tartan army lack of judgement with players like Gary mcallister
dogmc
What's that got to do with my point? Wasn't talking about the average age just that we discard some players to early and the tartan army lack of judgement with players like Gary mcallister Mccallister was nearly 20 years ago hardly a current example. Our biggest problem is a lunatic manager that discards young players in favour of never beens carthorses n old firm failures.
No_Problemo
I would be going something like this, however let's be honest, it's doubtful that either Phillips or Bardsley will be in the squad. Brown too.
King Kebab
Bardsley is playing regularly at the moment and we really need a right back so it'll be criminal if he's not in the squad!!!If Philips doesn't make the squad then Strachan should be sacked with immediate effect and probably sectioned!!!
