The truth being told, 4,500 of the seats shouldn't even be a feature of the rental.


The fact is that they are.

I can't see the council agreeing to allow us to rent only one stand but having the option to use the others when required.

No harm in asking though.

To turn round your question, how do 7500 empty seats generate cash?

In a smaller ground we would generate the same amount of cash from gate receipts as now. So not sure what difference the empty seats make, apart from the match atmosphere factor.

As stated elsewhere the rent is now at a more manageable level and certainly not more than paying a mortgage plus up keep costs on our own place. Think this whole broadwood being a financial millstone round our necks argument is being exaggerated.

We have pitch advertising under the commercial section of the official site priced from £500 per season so we must get some money from that. Although it's unlikely to equal what most of the clubs in the league make from it.
