Yeah I've seen that documentary- not an easy watch but lays the facts bare. The book is also not an easy read Throbber, lots of eye witness accounts from survivors and folk that lost friends/children/other relatives at the match with them.

I agree with your piont on charity workers etc due to inequality. See Jonny Benjamin.

The number of people on here, a football forum, who blamed it all on Scousers getting bevvied up and pushing was disappointing.


It is disappointing considering the evidence given that people are still saying that the Liverpool fans were disgraceful that day and that there were scores of ticketless fans that lead to the tragedy. Both of which are proved as untrue yet people still blame Liverpool fans. Could have happened to any set of supporters as that end of the stadium was unsafe.

By blaming fellow football fans and ordinary people for the disaster you are playing into the hands of the Establishment and the Sun newspaper who tried to cover the entire thing up by spreading lies to try and blame the dead for acting like mindless thugs. The exact sort of carry on that keeps decent ordinary people down in life.
