mjw
Why labour didn't explicitly ban working with the tories in councils before the election is mystifying. Now, they've made themselves look incompetent in the extreme. Labour being incompetent didn't start yesterday.

ArmadaleKillie
Supposedly in West Lothian the Labour and Tories have voted in a Tory provost and are deferring every other role. What a pathetic waste of space they all are. One Labour councillor abstained in the provost vote.
ArmadaleKillie
WL farce continues... the way Labour have kept up the pretence of talks with the SNP is rather pathetic. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/local-news/council-stalemate-snp-labour-clash-10448991 I love how Labour are saying they are forming a minority. Seems giving the biggest party a chance first doesn't mean anything to them. Supposedly the Labour leader said during the meeting that there was a pro union majority to run the council. Another then praised the Tory Westminster government for the money they gave to Scotland.
jakedee
Supposedly the Labour leader said during the meeting that there was a pro union majority to run the council. It seems that an Aberdeen Labour councilor said something similar. It appears that the Union is more important to Labour than any principles they once held.

vikingTON
The Tory-voting bumpkins of Dumfries will be rather upset about this. Good. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-south-scotland-40001010

ArmadaleKillie
Falkirk has an SNP minority as well now. I suspect West Lothian to have a Labour minority tomorrow. Assuming the conservatives vote for it rather than abstain. They need someone to support them anyway as SNP have one seat more.
NorthernLights
Fucking brass neck of this tweet... By the way, all Labour councillors are still suspended in Aberdeen for forming an coalition with the Conservatives.
