West Lothian cpuncil meeting this morning was adjourned. No agreement on who is running the council basically.

Tories moaned on twitter last night that labour are unwilling to work with them to defend the union locally.

The new West Lothian Question should be "why don't the Tories f**k right off?"

Tories sensationally out on their arses in South Ayrshire. SNP/Lab/Indy co-alition ousting the majority Tory group - never saw that coming to be honest but pretty amusing.

Fucking yaldy!!!!

My home council.

I'm so proud.

ETA:

Labour's Brian McGinley, who is tipped for the role of new council depute, added: "We view this working arrangement as a unique opportunity to advance the long held Labour values of tackling poverty, promoting equity and bringing about a socially just South Ayrshire by mitigating the effects of austerity on the most disadvantaged."

THAT'S how Labour in Scotland should be.  THAT'S how to bring voters back.

The Independents have done a deal with Labour and the Lib Dems for Highland Council, despite SNP coming 2nd to the Independents. At least they kept the Tories out. Could the Tories fail to even share power in a single Council after their massive victory? Getting a bit moist.

Labour at least seem to be learning that working with/going into coalition with the Tories after last week would be a bad idea for them nationally.

SLC Labour group have ruled out any coalition with either the Tories or the new SNP group.

SNP will lead a minority administration of SLC as the largest party [emoji2]

Thought he'd be out marching at this time of year.

Perth gets a Tory/Lib Dem/Labour coalition. I realise it's only one Labour councillor, but as their councillors are refusing to work with the Tories elsewhere in the country you'd think those at the top of the party will be seething about this: just one example of Labour/Tory coalition is all that's needed to give the SNP more ammunition to attack them from the left.

Looking forward to seeing if Inverclyde gets a repeat of the Labour/Tory coalition we had last time.
