Yes, but Ross wants to bring in his own players.

They could be, but St Mirren have said that they will be returning to Rangers when their loans expire next month.

In other news, Prince Christian was in the Sons' end at Somerset today - so I'm fairly confident he's coming home.

Ah fair enough boys..I'm still a big bag of rage from today's shambles and coming out with random outbursts. Apologies.

Haven't checked to see if anyone mentioned it but it looks like Kevin Nisbet will be returning to Partick in mid-January. Seems to have had a fall out with McCall during the game against Dumbarton yesterday.

Why are Hardie and Walsh on the out list for St.Mirren? Could there loans not be extended?

Because they cannot get a place in a team that is bottom of the League. Both appear to have a modicum of talent but lack work rate and have a poor attitude. Strangely Hardie did OK at Raith and still plays and scores for The New Club U20's however he looks pretty hopeless when he has played in our first team - Bambi on Ice springs to mind. Walsh could not lace McAllister's boots so he is no loss but I have a feeling Hardie may do ok somewhere else where he does not have to do any work.

We now have a very decent midfield and excellent wide players with our promoted youngsters but lack a decent centre half and a goal scorer and defensive midfielder. Hardie and Walsh are the only squad players we can easily bump in Jan to bring in replacements in areas that we need to strengthen.

Maybe because we had a far superior team to you last season with players who were playing confidently, whereas Hardie has been rotated between Shankland, Sutton and Clarkson.

Hardie has not taken his chances when offered to him unfortunately. Clarkson is mostly out the picture now (legs totally gone). Hardie got a few starts with Rae and has come on as a sub with Ross but looks disinterested and falls about a lot.

Have to agree that Hardie will probably do well in a team that's in the upper end of the table and is surrounded by players with more confidence than us.

He doesn't appear to have the heart to fight for his place or to take real advantage of the opportunities he was given, albeit it a team that is struggling.

There's definitely a decent finisher in there, but we haven't seen nearly enough of that particular attribute.

No wonder Hardie felt disheartened when the likes of Sutton and Clarkson are picked ahead of you. If St Mirren continue to adopt this approach with their younger players they'll struggle to get the best out of them and/or be able to keep ahold of them.

Clarkson hasn't been picked ahead of him, and Sutton with 11 goals so far, albeit from more game time, has proven to be a better option than Hardie, in terms of goal return.

Hardie was played both alongside Sutton and in preference to Sutton, both during Rae's unfortunate tenure and under our current regime, and has largely failed to deliver, when it mattered.

As I said there's a decent player in there, but he needs to toughen up a wee bit and take the rough with the smooth, if he's going to make it, IMO.

Rae did sign and select Clarkson even though he was poor in his previous loan period with us. However he soon realised that Clarkson was lucky to give him 30mins never mind 90mins. Ross more or less binned Clarkson straight away and only brings him on as a sub when desperate. Shankland has not been scoring either but at least he looks interested and puts in a bit of effort although he has been pretty ineffective in the scoring department. And Ross has brought in young players right across the midfield where we are now playing with a 17yo, an 18yo and two 20year olds.
