I follow junior and non league betting prices closely.  Normally each bookmakers odds are relatively independent, at least as far as the initial coupon prices are concerned.  This week however, like superbigal, I smell a rat and it stinks.  Here is my analysis of McBookie and Coral prices...

South of Scotland- 8 matches.  Prices- 4 same (when I say same, I am allowing for small variations, ie 4/7=8/15)

Highland League- 9 matches. Prices- 3 same.

North Juniors- 6 matches. Prices- 3 same.

East Region- 15 matches. Prices- 14 same. (I am certain I know why one price is different)

West Region- 6 matches. Prices- 6 same.

 The Coral coupon is probably printed on a Tuesday at the latest to ensure it is in the shop available to customers when doors open on the Friday. The McBookie prices go online normally on a Thursday morning. There is not a shadow of doubt in my mind that there has been collusion this week on the part of Coral and McBookie.  How that collusion is physically happening is difficult to be sure of with any certainty.  However, fortunately I know someone senior at Coral and will be contacting them. I will await their response with interest (as will McBookie I guess).

I could not have put it any better.

Even the 1 match you refer to in the East (Lochee Utd) was simply some muppet getting the odds the wrong way around. That in itself adds fuel to the fire.

I should have taken advantage of the free money involved but ironically it would have cost McBookie and not Coral

I will hold back from emailing Paul Petrie at McBookie until you conclude your investigation.

Ps Geoff (Elton) dont insult us by suggesting Coral were "copying" something not publically available from McBookie till Thursday lunchtime when the Coral paper offering is long since printed.

I hope this is not collusion. Worse still you moonlighting.

If anyone was going to collude, with the coral/ladbrokes merger, you would expect the toilet paper coupon printers at Ladbrokes to have aligned with Coral.

Been pointed out to me that this match below priced up by McBookie on Thursday bares an uncanny resemblance to the odds fuckupp made by Coral on Line 65 above.

Clearly they could have got their Lochee's mixed up.

All purely conpiracy theory stuff but enough for me to convict Leaked/Shared information.

I e-mailed McBookie the odds on Wednesday. Nobody knew them before that.

When are Corals coupons available from? If they print them in-house they can see McBookie's odds on Thursday morning print theirs in the aftrenoon and bob's yer uncle.

That odds on the Lochee Harp game strongly suggests to me that thats exactly what happened, i.e they copied McBookie's odds. Should be flattered I suppose.
