garrellburn
Kilsyth Emmett played junior pre WW2. Also very briefly , although not a junior club, Auchinstarry Primrose. And I nearly forgot, Smithstone Albion, fom hamlet near Croy. The junior club of Celtic legend, Jimmy Quinn.

garrellburn
Spent the morning at Motherwell Heritage centre looking for information on one of our former players (Ian Goodall) who went to Motherwell in late 1940's and is now in South Africa aged 89. Didn't get very much but as usual got sidetracked looking at other football related items. There is a fair bit about clubs from Shotts, especially the Bon Accord team that won the Scottish in 1958. However it was the others from Shotts that caught my interest; Shamrock in the late 19th century, Bluebell in the 1920's, Empire around 1930, Battlefield who were definitely junior from 1928-32 at least, and Victoria from around 1940 Another that was mentioned was Clydesdale Corinthians, no mention of where they were from, it was pre WW2 though. Loads of other stuff as well, including photos of schools teams, ladies teams (Hoover) and many of unidentified teams from the area.

Hillonearth
There's a comprehensive club directory here: http://scottish-football-historical-archive.co.uk/club-directory.htm Some of the names on it from way back in the day are a bit special...Aberdeen Favourites, Aesthetics, Albatross (both from Glasgow apparently!), Annan Midgets. Ark of Safety (Falkirk) and my favourite, Ardrossan Snowflake Minstrels (!) And that's just the "A"s...
