theoriginalhedge
In typical Brechin style , when the opportunity is there to impress and gain support from a larger than usual travelling support , they go and turn in the worst Brechin performance of the season so far. I don't think anyone deserved credit . Even our normally sound defence and keeper seemed to lose concentration and make mistake after mistake. No composure up front either. Two sloppy goals to concede in a rather dull encounter, Fair play to Queens though for taking advantage of our sloppiness and running out comfortable winners in the end. I think we could have played all night and still not scored. Hopefully that is out of the system and we can bounce back on Tuesday night. One positive was the appearance of Jackson , Trouts and Fin Graham but the damage had been done by the time they came on. Maybe they can spur us on in a much more realistic atmosphere than encountered today. Somehow that place has no soul or atmosphere with 400 folk in it. The hedge is much more homely in my opinion. Edit.....The Clockwork beer co has to be one of the best and friendliest Glasgow pub . Our day wasn't a complete disappointment .
theycallmetrinity
Ha ha we re shite but we re still above you .... Too early too write us off ,we ve no near a strong enough pool as we re finding out ... To reach plays offs will be our realistic aim .. We ve had 3 huge games against yourselves Ayr and Livvy in last 5 /6 weeks and not really risen to occasion .. Although Tues we were well under strength ... And today was always gonna be a hard game with so many big players out .. Once we start getting players back I m sure we ll kick off again but need to bolster squad....2 home games this week coming up with a depleted squad will take its toll even more ... But that's where we are right now..James Dale is a big miss but lads coming in are trying they re best and will improve with game time ... Don't bite to that Alloa waste of space
Bring Your Own Socks
Great result with another trademark strong team performance. Gibson's return has really tightened the whole defence and yesterday he put a lot more into his attacking game too. At 2-0 I couldn't see anyway we would lose. Cummins never put a foot wrong and Muir, again, was strong in the box. By comparison, McGeever's well-won header for the second was in an area where the goalie should have been challenging. Millen again solid and touch-perfect. McKernon and Fotheringham seem to be making a solid partnership in the middle. Both restrained and unflustered personalities, they close down the areas quickly and when they tackle they win the ball. And both very capable going forward including their shooting skills. Zanatta showed his determination in winning the penalty and he and Galt stretched Brechin's defence all day. Burns and Woods also had very productive shifts in their supporting roles. All together much healthier than a month ago and Gus must be a strong candidate for Manager of the Month.
Overthehedge1
Wasn't at the game, bad result for us but expected with our injury problems, Queen's Park gave us a really tough game at home so they aren't push overs but it's a game we really should be looking to win, well done queens hopfully we get a few boys back soon we really need some players coming back or coming in

'Steve
We just didn't get going yesterday but not surprising given the list of absentees. On the plus side - Trouten, Jackson and Graham all coming on as subs so will play a part on Tuesday against Albion. All 3 will hopefully be starting next Saturday. Plus Pabs returning from suspension. That will give us the quality we've been lacking in recent weeks and will give us at least a couple of options on the bench which we've not had. If Dale is going to be out with cruciate problems then we desperately need to bring a central midfielder in.

Total heads gone from him at the penalty award and after it was scored The game was a bit drab until that point so the incident at least got both teams fired up a bit and the second half was much better. Another quality 3 points for the southside's finest ( everything else has been covered by others )

He tends to lose it a bit when he thinks players make the most of a challenge. Usually the handbag comes out for a swing about and someone ends up booked or sent aff. It certainly affected his concentration in the second half as that cross for the second goal should have been his all day long. It's good that he got that out of the system on our off day. He needs that now and again to clear the system. He will be back to his best again tonight no doubt.
