Red cards, Yellow cards and suspensions

As the topic suggests looking for information on red and yellow cards. When do disciplinary committees' sit? Do different leagues' sit on different dates? If a player is red carded for violent conduct does he automatically miss the next match? If a player has two yellows then red carded what happens to him? Can't find any info online and was wondering if anyone on here could shed some light on this.

Thanks in advance

Mark.

If a player is sent off, he won't be suspended immediately.  He's free to play until both he and the club receive written notification of a suspension from the league.  Should he choose to appeal, the suspension will be delayed pending that appeal.  The outcome of which will obviously dictate whether that is eventually served.  All leagues meet at different times, generally once or twice a month.

Violent conduct is generally an automatic four match ban and a sending off following two yellows tends to be a two game ban and cannot be appealed
