Will be the first of a January double-(potentially triple?)- header between the two teams, surely by law of averages we'll get a result in one of them?

Hopefully the Rangers fans and players show restraint as they've got history in this competition.

We'll maybe get a draw in the league game at Fir Park but that'll be our lot as we'll do our usual Ibrox bottle job.

Absolutely zero chance we will turn up here and another bottle job is guaranteed.

Utterly shit and miserable away day for the fans as well.

If it were up to me I'd just return our allocation and let their unwashed support fill it and take half the gate money.

3-0 Sevco.

It's a fucking stinker of a draw and it's taken away the one thing we had left to look forward to this season, a good Cup run. In a turgid league campaign with a shite squad and a manager who treats the job like a hobby then you need the release of a Scottish Cup run, preferably with kind draws against the Elgins, Formartines and Wick Academy's of this world, but as ever we get paired with a Premiership side away from home and at a ground that has been a graveyard for us - bar one glorious Thursday in 2015 - since the late 1990s. That said even had we been given a kind draw we have the capacity in us to completely balls that up as well but, still...

Apart from our utterly dire away record this season, what will cost us in this tie will be our mentality and approach to it. McGhee will have us beat before a ball is kicked just like McCall did before him and his and our approach to games like this will be to not lose, rather than to win, thus giving what is a bang average side far more respect than they deserve. That small time, "we're only Motherwell, we can't expect to compete with Rangers, huge, club, full house, more money" stance that McGhee and previous Motherwell managers adopt is what hangs us in games like these. It is very telling IMO that an 'outsider' like Ian Baraclough, as much of a dud he ultimately proved to be is the only Motherwell manager to go there, stick two fingers up to them and show them up for the dire mob that they are. Had either McGhee or McCall been in charge of that tie, we would have lost three or four nil that night, because they would have allowed us to buy into all the hype about Rangers.

Should be played behind closed doors until the **** learn to behave themselves in this competition.

Or at very least have the guts to back their team up instead of running away scared from the Hibees.
