One has to wonder which hill Nunes is dying on here. Much of his memo runs contrary to Comey’s testimony under oath. Comey’s testimony is available on YouTube. It shows that the dossier can’t be dismissed entirely, as Nunes would have the world believe.

Carter Page seems like an alt-right conspiracy theorist loonball. But Nunes is a serving elected official. He’s also supposed to have recused himself. But he’s managed to drive the media narrative into allowing Trump to claim he’s been cleared. And the 30% have bought it.

Another weak thing about the memo is that it makes clear that the Steele dossier was not the only information supplied to the FISA court. And it makes no claim that the FBI knew that Clinton and the Democrats funded the dossier after Republican Fusion dropped out, although they try to insinuate it with no direct knowledge that they did. ie. They didn't.

Brain damage or dementia. Possibly both

Neither.

Narcissistic personality disorder certainly.  Not overly intelligent? I think so, all the indicators are there.

Trump is someone who has got away with lying and being underhand his whole life; there have been multiple  sour deals and bankruptcies.  He lies indiscriminately in the same way he did all his years in business.

What is shocking is that he’s been able to carry this behaviour into the White House with limited backlash.

Notwithstanding the spelling errors, in order for something to be dead it had to first be alive.  Everything he says indicates, to a greater or lesser degree, guilt.

But that Tweet isn't aimed at people who know the difference between their and there.   It's aimed at people who don't.  The "Trump is vindicated" third person shit is targeted at a social media bubble which merely repeats what he says.  Hannity et al, who merely ape Trump, are doing more damage to the American electoral system than Trump or the Russians ever could.

And it really, really, really needs repeating: Mueller is not investigating collusion.  He's investigating money laundering.  He's investigating illegal business activity.  He's possibly even investigating espionage in the case of Flynn.  Let's not let Trump drive the narrative here.

Has Donald Trump claimed the credit for the biggest fall in the Dow Jones index since 2008?

A healthy correction. Probably the healthiest market correction there has ever been. Much more correct than any of Obama's!

I do love stock market stories like this, when you get the occasional telling snippet like this from the BBC about the internal logic of markets.

Quote

The sell-off began last week after data in the US showed stronger wage growth

It's almost as if the global economic system is inherently contradictory.

Trump honestly doesn’t give a shit about the American military but the purpose would be:

1.  A prop for his massive ego;

2.  A gesture that appeals to his moronic base; and

3.  The chance to attack anyone who opposes it as unpatriotic.

Appeals court upholds $25 million Trump University settlement

President Fraud has a ring to it.

If the $19,000 sought by this particular student is an average then decision probably suits Trump as it might have cost him much more in the event of successful individual cases.

I wonder how the professional lier Sarah Saunders will ignore/deflect this one.
