JamieStevenson
A couple of weeks after Survivor Series, on December 4th 2016 we will have our next gimmick PPV. This will be the 8th installment of TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs. This will be a SmackDown exclusive event and as announced by Shane McMahon on Talking Smack the main event will be AJ Styles vs Dean Ambrose in a TLC match in what is likely to be the rubber match of a feud that's been going at least 3 months now I believe. Looking back on previous TLC PPV's they've been alright, there have been a few gems over the years too. What we don't want to see though are chairs matches or even worse..... steel stairs matches this year. It's not clear at this stage what is likely to be on here but you can expect some Survivor Series fallout for sure. Here is a little WWE promo video for this event: The main event is one we've see many times now, it's SmackDown's 2 top guys in Styles and Ambrose that have been really diving the brand since the inception of the draft. Before they lock horns again for the WWE World Championship they have to try and coexist on Team SmackDown for Survivor Series. James Ellsworth had recently been shoved into the equation and A LOT of shenanigans has ensued. AJ Styles has not had a clean victory in a while now, which doesn't bode well for leading the SmackDown team at Survivor Series and also as a man that has to then try and hold on to his belt. During the Survivor Series elimination tag match, despite working well in the beginning, tempers once again flared and they played a part in each other's elimination. Here is James Ellsworth costing Dean Ambrose his original #1 contender match: Here is Dean Ambrose winning the rematch the week after (more Ellsworth involvement): SmackDown Live's biggest story since the brand split has been the rivalry between The Miz and Dolph Ziggler. The pair have already had 3 Intercontinental Championship matches in recent months. The matches between the pair have been at an incredibly high standard. The Miz was the winner at Backlash via Maryse shenanigans and a Scull Crushing Finale. At the No Mercy PPV, the pair met again. Dolph Ziggler put his entire career on the line for a chance to become the Intercontinental Champion again. Despite more shenanigans from Maryse and The Spirit Squad, Ziggler became the new champion after a brilliant match that should have been the main event that night but was sadly overlooked. Fast forward to the 900th episode of SmackDown, The Miz was offered his rematch ans subsequently took back the title once again thanks to Maryse reversing Ziggler's attempt at a small package. Daniel Bryan announced that to put an end to this feud they'll have to meet ONCE MORE. This will be a Ladder Match so it's clear who the real winner is this time Becky Lynch has been WWE SmackDown Women's Champion ever since winning the title at Backlash in September. Alexa Bliss Bliss became the #1 contender after defeating the remaining members of the division on the following SmackDown Live. Becky Lynch was supposed to defend against Alexa Bliss at the No Mercy PPV but had to pull out through injury. Upon Becky's return, Alexa finally got a shot at the title in Glasgow, Becky retained via submission but the referee failed to spot the blatant foot on the bottom rope. Alexa Bliss has been hounding Daniel Bryan about getting another chance and has been repeatedly showing him the footage of the incident. Hopefully she will get her match at TLC. Here are the highlights of their Glasgow encounter: On SmackDown we had the standard contract signing between the women. The exchanged lame words before finally brawling, leading to Alexa Bliss pushing WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Becky Lycnh through the table. Following this incident, Renee announced on Talking Smack that this will now be a Tables Match at TLC. Heath Slater & Rhyno are enjoying a run as of late. They had back-to-back PPV wins over The Usos at Backlash then No Mercy. Following on from that they had the honour of captaining Team SmackDown at Survivor Series, albeit unsuccessful but they have firmly established themselves as the top tag team on their brand. A tag team turmoil match has been announced to determine the new #1 contenders. The following teams will participate in that match: The Usos, American Alpha, Breezango, The Vaudevillains , The Ascension & The Hype Bros. American Alpha won the tag team turmoil match, only for the Wyatt Family to address them by saying they hadn't faced all of the tag teams yet. Bray Wyatt & Randy Orton vs American Alpha next week in a #1 contenders match. Winners face Heath Slater & Rhyno at TLC. Here are the tag team turmoil highlights and Wyatt Family call out. "Me and Randy are coming for you.... RUN!" As we all know, Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton were feuding not too long ago. They played mind games on each other but eventually Randy Orton decided that if you can't beat them, join them and became the newest member of the Wyatt Family. Wyatt and Orton were involved in the men's Traditional Survivor Series elimination match in which they were the surviving members of the SmackDown team and now a force to be reckoned with. They took on the winners of the tag team turmoil match, American Alpha, and defeated them in the main event of SmackDown Live to become the #1 contenders and have earned themselves a title shot at TLC against Heath Slater and Rhyno. There is a high possibility of a David vs Goliath encounter between Kalisto & Baron Corbin. In August, in the lead up to SmackDown Live's first PPV Backlash, Baron Corbin unleashed a series of backstage assaults on Kalisto as he blamed him for costing him a shot at the Intercontinental Championship. Both men were part of a triple threat #1 contendership match in which Apollo Crews was victorious. Here are the backstage assaults: Kalisto then actually went out injured for a few months and they did not have the match it appeared they were heading towards at Backlash. Here is the return of Kalisto, taking advantage of a Baron Corbin slip in Glasgow: Kalisto injured Baron Corbin, costing him his place in the Survivor Series elimination tag team match, replaced by Shane McMahon. On the night of Survivor Series, Kalisto had the opportunity to take on Brian Kendrick for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship and potentially bring the entire division over to SmackDown if he won. Baron Corbin of course made a miraculous recovery and beat down Kalisto in that match, costing Kalisto the Cruiserweight title and on the whole costing SmackDown the whole division too. This has enraged the General Manager Daniel Bryan who has assured Corbin there will be consequences for his actions. After interfering in each other's matches on SmackDown, Daniel Bryan announced that we will see Baron Corbin vs Kalisto in a Chairs Match at TLC. We have ourselves a little Who Done It? scenario as on the night of Survivor Series, just as the match was due to start.... Nikki Bella had been attacked from behind and was unable to compete. Natalya was conveniently one of the first in the vicinity to check on Nikki and was raring to go and immediately take her spot in the match. I think we all came to the conclusion that Natalya was the one that attacked Nikki (everybody except Nikki that is). Nikki has actually now gone on to accuse her rival Carmella of being the one that attacked her. Carmella has denied this stating she has taken credit for every attack she's done to Nikki in the past and it's definitely not her this time. Nikki went to General Manager Daniel Bryan and has been granted a No Disqualification Match against Carmella. Hopefully this isn't the end of the Who Done It? story. Here is Natalya taking Nikki's spot: Carmella cuts a promo about what she'll do to Nikki Bella at TLC in their No Disqualification Match, this lead to Nikki rushing down to the ring and the pair coming to blows. Here is the official theme for this PPV: Confirmed Matches: American Alpha, The Hype Bros & Apollo Crews vs The Ascension, The Vaudevillains & Curt Hawkins. (Kickoff Match) Nikki Bella vs Carmella in a No Disqualification Match. Kalisto vs Baron Corbin in a Chairs Match. Heath Slater & Rhyno (C) vs Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt & Randy Orton) for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Becky Lynch (C) vs Alexa Bliss in a Tables Match for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship. The Miz (C) vs Dolph Ziggler in a Ladder Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. AJ Styles (C) vs Dean Ambrose in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match for the WWE World Championship. Possible Matches:

JamieStevenson
I've lost the plot and updated this a lot... Interesting that John Cena is in the promo video. Would be good to have him back. Seeing a lot of people saying that Undertaker will soon come after Dean Ambrose for costing AJ Styles in the SS match, which makes no fucking sense as AJ cost Dean first?.... Ira Gaines
That was the sort of stellar stuff that we're used to seeing pretty much every December on this PPV now. Even if most of the PPV disappoints you're certain to see something brilliant.
