John Souttar

Was at the Kilmarnock Hearts game last night with several current and future internationals playing. Without doubt John Souttar was the standout. Outstanding in possession driving forward, looked strong and had a good turn of pace. If he is developed properly he will play at the  top.

Obviously a huge difference from playing at RP and international football but loads of potential.

Of the others Paterson was poor and struggled against Jordan Jones. Tony Watt looks a good player on ball but seems lazy AF.

Souttar has outstanding technical ability, my only concern is whether he is a natural defender. He is young and has the potential to be really top class, but he needs to improve in the air and have sufficient controlled aggression off the ball.

You've not really mentioned how his defending was?

No, the two souttars,  mcghee,  Kingsley,  Tierney and Robertson are the future of our back line.   All aged 18 to 22 and with enormous potential.
