Played alright in the middle of the game.  If we could have started the game better, and finished the game better, we might have got something out of that.
So 1 out of 3 then...
Not 1 out of 3 with regard to points though, 0 out of 3 on that score...
Oh, and -4 with regard to score.

Basically, a bit of a shite night for us.

Great night for us, another 3 points further away from Ross County and 3 goals to the good tonight also, life is braw for the CaleyJaggies.

How did Christie jnr get on and do you think he'll be able to eventually get a start in Celtic's first team?

Not great. He's got plenty of potential but he's far too lightweight which means he struggles to get turned or hold onto the ball.

I'd be inclined to make a lot of changes for this game. Been a hard run of games lately and coming up. Ross County are apparently piss poor so we will have too much for them whatever team surely.

Gordon

Lustig Simunovic Svia Tierney

Roberts McGregor Armstrong Sinc

Dembele Griffiths

4-0 Celtic

Boom

Frustrating I would have thought for county, they made plenty of chances and needed to take them. Always had the feeling that we could put on better players, or we could up our game with the players on teh park if needed to get the win. No much you can do about that, been done to us in Europe, just got to hope luck is on your side in a few of them when you play against a team with better players like the Man City game.

4-0 did not represent the actual game or how close it was. we're miles ahead of anybody in Scotland at the moment, IMO the "gap" is as huge as it's ever been, as you would expect with our resources.

Strange contrast to Celtic's previous match. On Sunday they hammered the opposition and sneaked a 1-0 win. Last night County gave an excellent account of themselves, forced a few good saves from the keeper and hit the post, yet Celtic smashed them 4-0.

Thought the first half hour Celtic played it around well but rarely created anything. There was a 15-20 minute period in the second half where County really took over but didn't take their chances, and were punished heftily in the end when they went 3 at the back and pushed for an equaliser.

Christie and Henderson both flattered to deceive. Lots of the ball and neat with their passing but created almost nothing. Armstrong looked something like the player he was at Dundee Utd.

Boyce was an absolute handful for the Celtic defence, will be disappointed at missing that early chance. Couldn't make my mind up on Van Der Weg. Got himself in the way of almost everything but looked a bit panicked at times and his distribution was generally poor. Chris Burke looks like he will do a very good job for them though.

Fair.
The gap has been this big before, but aye, not in a while and its probably not been much bigger.
Rodgers is finally making the most of the gap in resources, which Delia just never managed to do.

We just need to get a bit of confidence and consistency back (consistency in a lot of things....)

A very decent game to watch. We rode our luck with Gordon, thats twice he's done this now of late. I would hold Rodgers partially to blame trying to make him in to something he doesnt have the ability to do.

Anyway 4-0 flattered us but its good see going for the kill after going a couple of goals up. Under Deila we would just go a goal or two up then switch off.

Watching the highlights again, aye Gordon was lucky not to get red.
But then, I think McEveley might also be held as pretty lucky when he was last man and Dembele went down...
Would like to have seen the Griffiths challenges again as there was a lot of ill-feeling regarding two of them, but its all pretty meaningless whataboutery.

I think changing to a back 3 was suicidal and opened us up for Celtic, who duly scored 3 times.
Admittedly for Armstrong's goal it looked like McShane pulled up injured during the build-up, so bad luck/timing may have played a role in that, if I'm being generous.

The most damning part of the highlights was the commentator stating that Scott Fox has made more saves than any other keeper in the top flight.
Good for Fox, but that shows how many shots we are letting teams get off.
Also, despite Fox making more saves than anyone else, only Kilmarnock (20) have conceded more goals than Ross County (8).
And its not like our attacking play is leaving us exposed, we are the lowest scorers in the league with 8 (Kilmarnock have scored 12 and so have a better goal difference, points tally, and league position than us, as well as Scott Boyd on loan from us).

Its been said among County fans all year, but we have been increasingly bad for the very vast majority of 2016 with the League Cup papering over some ever-increasing cracks.
