Sad to announce that long term Beith fan Willie McDougall passed away suddenly yesterday at the age of 80.

Hewas a stalwart to the club for many years and a genuine old school gentleman.

All Beith fans will know him as will many opposition fans.

Condolonces to his wife Elsie and to his family.

RIP Willie

That's really sad news - a lovely man. He was a technical teacher at my high school, and he would bring his wee band to school dances, etc.

I enjoyed catching up with him when visiting Beith Juniors.

That's the way Mr mcdougall was and well said , he served as a technical teacher in Paisley and most recently trinity high school in renfrew where he taught for many a year before retiring then returning and retiring again , complete gentleman who made time for everyone and was great to listen to and was always a pleasure to meet him whether it be at the football or just meeting him in the town .
