Mannheim for me. December 14th to 18th. Hockey on the Friday. Frankfurt v Schalke on the Saturday. Epic away day by train and boat for hockey on the Sunday. Will make a concession to tourism and visit Heidelberg during the day. Also visiting a proper German Christmas market.

Mate is traveling with me this time and I'm meeting another mate over there. Should be a good break - sport, beer and German festive goodies. The sonderzug trip on the Sunday is sure to be fun.

Got a flat in Seville for the first week of October, posh train booked for a trip to Cordoba. Bit annoyed I didn't check the football schedule first,  international break. Having a hard time finding info on the lower leagues.

I'm going to Seville in November, where did you book your train tickets and what is this posh train? Looking to go to Córdoba myself and possibly Cadiz.

It's called AVE, like the French TGV. Slow trains are cheaper but a day return to Cordoba was only £25. Loads more info below and links to other booking sites if you struggle with that one. It's worth booking early to get the cheap tickets. Cadiz is definitely worth a trip.

Much appreciated. I think I'll make some bookings tonight.

Changed my plans to catch a Cordoba home game, so booked a couple of nights in a hostal and had to buy another rail ticket back to Seville. Still only £13 for a week on Monday so probably no rush for you to book.
