Just an observation guys....the bar looks good, well done to Albion Rovers for setting it up, Cliftonhill has lacked a good football boozer since Big Owen's was tarted up a few years back. I know we're not likely to be visiting any time soon but (here's my observation) I would be reluctant to go in due to the lack of ale that you are serving. I'm a Real Ale drinker, however, I understand not all bars serve it, but you can usually strike a happy medium with John Smith's, Guinness, Belhaven Best etc etc With not being a lager drinker, I wouldn't be hanging around if I was to come in for a look.

Hope you don't mind me sticking my nose in, as I say, looks good and I hope it's a success for you but others, who may prefer to come might be put off, like myself, and may choose to go elsewhere.

Nae Buckie? Gutted.

Looks pretty smart tee. A few of us will be heading to St Andrew's Bar before the game but hopefully give this a wee visit post-match

About time we beat youse as well. 5 times you beat us a couple of seasons ago

Always a favourite fixture of mine, glad to have it back.

Hopefully we can keep alive the spirit of last weeks win at Airdrie. We certainly had the measure of Queens a few seasons back, different times though and they have made a decent start to the season.

A win would take the pressure off ever so slightly going into the Livi game which rounds off the first quarter of the season (already [emoji50])

Il say 2-1 rovers

Is Tony Quinn still playing? I see he's listed on the club website in the playing squad but I wonder how much game time he's likely to get these days.

Was injured all last season. Still trying to get himself back to full fitness. Good cover to have at the back anyway when he hopefully does get fit. The big man knows he's not going to be first choice

Can still add something to the dressing room though. Is he not still Club captain, even if not team captain? Seem to recall Sinky had the same distinction for most of his last season?

Rovers still have a decent ex- QP connection in the two Dunlops, Mark Ferry, Billy Stark and Lindsay Hamilton. Complete coincidence of course that the last 5-6 years has been a golden era for the club.

Our home form has been patchy so far and we need to shore up our great win at the piggery last week with another 3 points. I'm taking nothing for granted as Queens have had a good start and are preparing the foundations for L1 consolidation.

Good to see Fisher back

A good 3 points. I think 1-0 would have been a fairer reflection but I'm not complaining.

A dull first half, neither side really looked dangerous. Boyd took his goal very well. Second half was similar stuff, not much happening, Wallace should have had us 2-0 up with a great chance. Ross Stewart had a quiet afternoon in goals, although he did pull off a terrific save near the end to keep it at 1-0. Then up stepped Ryan Wallace with an excellent 25 yard finish to the bottom corner, lovely goal.

So a second consecutive 2-0 win and we climb to 5th in the table. Interesting game next week, if Airdrie can go to Alloa and win then we can do the same at Livingston.

McPherson for St Mirren?

"Surly" - how appropriate. You've a lot to learn from Sam & Vic.

Yesterday was like watching a replay of all the previous games. Queen's dominate the early play but eventually 'Rovers manage to negate our passing game by fair means or foul (all credit to Cummin for getting straight back up - if he'd rolled about clutching his shin it would surely have been a sending off for the no. 9, and quite how ferry avoided an early yellow card is beyond me?), create a very well taken opportunist goal and then move the ball about well for the remainder of the half. 'Rovers then resort to type (the low attendance and loud complaints from home fans about the deep defending tell their own story) knowing that 1-0 is usually enough against us, and then break away at the end just after their 'keeper makes a great save to deny us an equaliser.

No complaints about the outcome as 'Rovers have this style of play down to an art form against us, and we've done the same to other teams this season (without the thuggery), but I doubt anyone who paid the £14 felt they got value for money. Genuine question - why was yesterday's attendance of 444 so poor when our recent games in the lower division were much better than that? Doubt your new bar made a fortune either, which would be a shame as your efforts deserve better?

Surprisingly it was our highest home league attendance of the season so far, largely due to a healthy number of travelling Spiders, and sadly is only likely to be bettered when Airdrie and Livingston visit Cliftonhill (Exscel). Words fail me on attendances, I know Bold feels the same way. I have thought noticed quite a few new faces recently which begs the question, Where are the old faces?

Typical queens. Have much of the ball but don't that much with it, Albion go up the park twice and score. Overall I thought we actually played alright but we just don't have someone to hit the ball in the net. Think we miss having Duggan up top, being able to bully defenders and just being a general threat. Anyone know when McKernon is back? Think him and Miller could be a good partnership in the middle.

I was wondering if these same fans have been watching a different team from me. Taking a 1-0 lead and then absorbing pressure has been a Albion Rovers trademark for sometime now - granted it's not pretty to watch
