No gauld, Christie, etc. Going for players playing regularly?

Clearly not, given that most of the players in there aren't playing regular first team football. No idea what Nesbitt has done to merit an inclusion, I wouldn't have him in the Morton first team when everyone was fit.

The game was shifted two weeks ago to Reykjavik with a 15.30 kick off local time.

Not like the SFA to get basic information completely wrong...........

Christie was 21 in February.  Although am I right in saying you can still play if you're 21 at the start of a campaign?

If you're born after a certain date you are eligible, so in theory you can be 22 and playing depending on what date that is. I think that's how it works.

Think the rule is about the year that you're born in. So for the 2019 finals you have to be born in 1996 or later (so can be 23 when the competition takes place and still play). Gauld misses out by about 2 weeks. I think they can still play in qualification, just not the finals.

I'm not completely sure about that though.

They make it an art form - from the original press release we have Newport City and Middlesborough.

What experience of Scottish football does Scot Gemmill actually have? He hasn't played up here, not coached at any clubs?

Can't be any worse than the previous manager though. I wish the Paisley b*****d all the luck in the world :P.

Aye but he literally spied on Barcelona training, stalked them on his own time and everything.

Seems utterly ludicrous that Gauld is 20 and already ineligible for the U21s when the likes of James Milner were still playing 6 months into his 23rd birthday.

Gauld is eligible for the current campaign of the U21s, but Gemmill has decided to build for the next campaign since we're already out.
