Grim O'Grady
Close match, 2 good sides, the Shire took the 1st half & we took the 2nd. Last minute penalty gave us the points. That's 3 goals in 2 games for CJ now. The Lucky hat rides again. Programmes, pies & pints sold out. Highlights tomorrow when I sober up. Any requests (musical ya fannies)? selfassemblyshire
Pretty boring game. I was standing behind the opposite goals and never seen the penalty incident very well, did the linesman give it?A draw would've probably been a fair reflection of the game. Another big game that we failed to won. Classic Shire.
Hoofhearted
Game could have gone either way, second half pressure paid off in the end. Townsley got MOTM.

Spoke to Bedroom Tax who was down nr their area & he told me it was a stonewall pen! A draw wouldn't have been a massive upset but we definitely shaded it 2nd half to be in a position to win the pen. My double came in though so it's a double celebration. Grimbo

PRS
One of the poorest games I've seen in a long time - lot of effort but not much else- and the only player who looked like they could create anything was the Shire, no 8, Derek Ure. Feel Shire should have had game won in the first half and Andy Rodgers was unlucky to see his strike hit the bar with the keeper nowhere. Neither side looks like title winners based on this. Really good Shire support who must have made up more than half the crowd.

I counted the attendance at just over 37 for tax purposes There wasn't a lot for either keeper to do, it was more a battle for midfield. That said we were on top most of the 2nd half & when we brought on Beezer n Broque the pace of the game was upped & we got into the pen box & got the pen. I think it was more about winning than style today. Grimbo
Nimmo's Notes
Shire should have been out of sight by sight by half time. Three glorious chances to score before Andy Rodgers hit the bar. Having failed to score in the first half, Shire deserted the football they had played previously, trying to play the ball up to the strikers too quickly, giving away possession in the process. David Grant might have won it near the end, another massive chance missed. Draw would have been fair in the end but then came the penalty.........shocker.
