Redstarstranraer
Can't see a thread for this one yet so here you are. Not a lot between these sides in terms of the table going in to this one, although Stranraer maybe in the (very) slightly better form. Got a great record against QP though so fancy us to do the business and take the three points. 2-1 to the blues.

Mick1867
No idea how this might go. We have lost 2 games in a row but played well last week against one of the best teams in the league and should have got a draw. Hear that Gibson is 50/50 to make it. If he doesn't then I'd bring in McLeish at left back and go 4 in defence, as Wharton is suspended after a straight red playing for the 20s
AllanM
A straight red playing for the 20s? Jeez!
Mick1867
Aye. After 10 minutes. Dangerous high tackle apparently. Of course if he'd been in goals for Celtic he'd have got away with it. He's not having the best time of it these days. Hope he can get his head sorted as on form he's a real asset, like he showed during last season's run in

Played for Hearts first team about a dozen times. Sounds like a great move for all parties. We need more goals, lowest scorers in the division
Spidersmad
Quote Cheers Mick. Sounds promising. Hopefully if he does the biz we can extend the loan. Important game v Stranraer - we really need to start getting points again. Agree about bringing McLeish back if Gibson can't make it. Burns and McLeish usually make for a good partnership down the left.

Over subscribed in that area already. http://www.heartsfc.co.uk/team/64 Looking forward to the game. A month ago I'd have fancied an easy home win but Stranraer have got their rhythm now. Likely to be a mistake or a deadball play that wins it. Good luck to all the players.
car number 7
An easy victory for Stranraer.Although the spiders had a man sent off Stranraer always looked better and probably QP are the poorest team we have met,if it had been 5 or 6 nobody could have complained, our keeper had one save to make in 90 minutes, says it all really.I thought QP played some OK tippy tappy stuff but this League demands more and think they might struggle. As for Stranraer we seem much more assured since the first couple of games in the season and a bigger test will come next week against Brechin at Stair pk,so what price do we start the bidding for Kyle Turner. Mattmc
Queens Park controlled the opening ten to fifteen minutes, moving the ball well and using the pitch far more effectively. A break down the right from Thomson seemed to get Stranraer back in the game and woke them up a bit. Belford not really registering a save the whole first half. Bell came close for Stranraer but was denied by a good stop, soon after the Queens Park keeper flapped at a cross and the ball fell for Dick to score easily. At this stage Stranraer looked the stronger of the two teams without having too many clear cut chances. Second half Stranraer started ok before Queens Park had a strong ten minutes being denied by a terrific stop from the leg of Belford. This proceeded a succession of corners with Stranraer struggling to get a grip of things. A break away saw Malcolm fouled but advantage given only for Ferguson to wipe commit a foul and rightly shown the red card. Stranraer created a number of chances after this and probably should of won by more. Not a tremendous performance but delighted all the same. Players dug in and got a result. Referee was pretty poor for both teams a lot of silly fouls allowed to go. Booked Barron for a shirt pull then gave a free kick thirty seconds later for a shirt pull on Barron but, no card. No real standouts for either team today. Turner probably best for Stranraer showed a great range of passing and battled well in the middle. Nice to see Belford go through a game with out any stupid antics.
bobthespider
Was Gibson injured . Going to 4 at the back did not work . Strange Woods did not start as he has been back to his best in recent games . Queens not bad in first 45 terrible in second 45 . Thought their winger was really good . Clayhole Blue
How's Luke Watt been doing for you guys at Stranraer? Have only seen him for about 10 minutes so far - that was today - so no update yet!
Mattmc
How's Luke Watt been doing for you guys at Stranraer? Too early to say but doesn't look anything spectacular. Came on last week and we lost two goals. Came on today and Queen's Park seemed to get a bit more joy. In his short time on the park today he had a few opportunities to make himself and available but seemed to shy away.Hopefully the more game time he gets the more positive the reviews will be.Watt won't get the right back slot unless Barron gets injured/suspended. Can he play upfront? We're short in that position?
Alf Stamp Army
Craig Thomson (17) - up against Sean Burns?? Thomson was a threat all game and burns was exposed 2nd half in particular when Gibson went off I assume injured? Also sadly a mismatch him picking up Malcolm at corners [emoji17]

AllanM
I thought QP had a lot of possession in the first half but never offered much in front of goal. Usual! Stranraer were better in the second half but wouldn't say they were clearly better over the full game. Very strange Woods was dropped to the bench and 3rd sub on. Pretty poor if u ask me given it was his 100th appearance! I think he is the better winger of the ones we have, don't understand that. Gibson must have been injured.
