Rounds to get to the same stage as Aberdeen enter in the Scottish cup. With this new set up, the team that finished fourth in the premiership has to play four games to reach the same stage as the team that finished third. It just seems a bit excessive. Make the European teams field "colt" teams in the group stage. The first team can then take over if they manage to escape the group. It's the only fair way, IMO.
