Yes - Delightful Machiavellian.

Encourage Montenegro, Bosnia, Kosovo and other places to join the EU and then say "Yes now we definitely have to leave unless we want hordes of people from Montenegro, Bosnia, Kosovo and other places coming here."

I long ago came to the conclusion that Brendan O'Neill doesn't actually believe in anything he writes and is just churning out this shite for a particular audience.

Because quite frankly I refuse to believe that anyone could be this much of a contrarian, hypocritical c**t.

Helen Lewis, of “coffee is middle class” fame with the galaxy brain take that “calling people ‘gammon’ is classist”. The same Helen Lewis who doesn’t know anybody working class and had to refer to her friend who went undercover on the dole when discussing unemployment.

Brexit: Falkland Islands government sounds alarm on leaving single market

Apparently 94% of their fish exports go to the EU and they're a bit worried.

Not all Scottish fisherfolk in favour of brexit.

Quote

“Hard borders would be a disaster for us. Most of our prawns are sent right away to Europe in lorries filled with salt water tanks so they stay alive. That’s why we get more money for our product and even a short delay means fishermen don’t get paid,” he explains.

“Any tariffs would hurt our margins and profitability. It would also dismantle 20 years of perfecting the current system — overnight.”

Sinclair worries that officials are paying more attention to the louder Brexiteer voices in the fishing industry — notably east coast trawlermen who prioritize regaining access to waters — and have forgotten about smaller, more lucrative parts of the industry.

“The way Brexit is looking, our future could be wiped out by a signature,” he says.

Real impact of brexit, now harder to get a mortgage, mortgages now more expensive. Fucking great. Trying to remortgage just now and nearest quote is £100 more all because of brexit. Madness.

It's not Brexit that makes it more difficult to get. Remember that global bank crisis? and the only time mortgages were any cheaper than they are now was before we were in the EU.

A system that already works perfectly well in the States, I don’t see what the problem is.

The US is one country. The EU is not. After you have successfully applied for (and paid for) your ETIAS document, you must enter the Schengen area via the country to which you applied. You can of course move around once there but if you return home , then wish to go directly to another country  (let's say to watch a football match or go on a stag do ) , you have to re-apply for (and pay for) another ETIAS document.  No more spontaneous EU travel for Brits.

However, just because you have the ETIAS does not necessarily guarantee you entry into the EU countries. This is at the discretion of the border authorities.

Ok so we got our mortgage in May 2016 -£900 p/m, in the aftermath of the banking crisis, go to remortgage at the end of fixed term £1000 p/m for the same mortgage, no significant change in interest rates, ask mortgage advisor why, response - ‘lenders are predicting cost of living rise due to impact of brexit and are being stricter with mortgages’.
