I’m not sure Corbyn is actually saying what Nicholson is accusing him of saying.

Corbyn’s stance on Brexit is weak to put it mildly, but surely he’s attacking the actions (and low salaries) of corporations rather than the immigrant workforce?

Corbyn should attack wage levels in general then. He could also go on about workers doing cash in hand jobs or unemployed working on the side.

Mealy moothed hypocrite he is. He knows this will play well with many down south.

Old man rants about immigrants stealing British jobs but in a nice socialist way

Why does anyone care about immigration? People should be free to travel, live and work wherever they want around the world. I can't actually fathom hating someone because they come from another country. Mind bendingly stupid and incomprehensible to me

In some parts of England, there are some streets where there don't seem to be any signs in English and a lot of people who don't look like they were born in England - even if they probably were.

Some people think that if you allow this happen on one street then before you know it - it will be everywhere.

A ridiculous attitude to take but some people have such a narrow definition of identity that they want everyone around them to look, talk and behave exactly the same as they do - or their sense of identity will be lost for good.

(.. and this isn't just an English issue.   The same stupid mindset occurs in other countries too.)

Funny it's the people who rage about the lack of democratic accountability in the EU that resist handing over meaningful power to the directly elected European Parliament the most.

UK will be paying Brexit 'divorce bill' until 2064, says Treasury watchdog

By which time the majority of folk that voted for it will be long gone.  f**k me.

A lot of them will pop their clogs just reading those headlines.

By my reading of it 95% of that will have been paid by 2028, leaving £2.5 bn to be paid over the following 36 years - hardly budget busting stuff.

So the UK is actually going to pay the EU for a worst deal than we have at the moment? Genius...

We were never going to get as good a deal as we have now - in which case the EU will still benefit and not us. We now as a nation need to have a series re-think on Brexit.

Perhaps a 2nd independence referendum?

The apathy with which the people of the UK - Scotland especially, which rejected this - are accepting the unfolding disaster of Brexit is bizarre. Even a couple of years ago this level of incompetent madness would have been unbelievable. Not it seems to be being enacted without even token opposition.

Most folk are just shrugging their shoulders as if there is nothing they can possibly do about it. Brits are the pish heads who go out every now and again, get liquored up, a bit rowdy when drunk and then end up sending the sorry texts the next day, and go back in their box.

The French would have blocked all the ports and Autoroutes by now. We're headlong into a pointless world of inflation, zero investment, outward flow of high paying jobs and capital, importing workers from outside the EU to keep Tim Wetherspoon ticking over, doubling bureaucracy and red tape. And we're doing f**k all  to stop it like we're all on tramadol. I certainly am.
