When was the last time anyone sauntered through Passport Control at a European Airport on arrival from the UK without having to show their passport? What difference will it make it it’s Blue or Red? We will still queue up just the same.
Family members flying into Spain from the U.S wait no longer (or less) than we currently do to come through arrivals.

In my experience of travelling extensively in Europe  since 1970 , your statement is complete and utter bullshit.

Rubbish

Unfortunately with the soon to be introduction of ETIAS, the average Britards summer holiday to Benidorm is gonna get a bit more complicated.

Oops!

I go through either Alicante or Murcia Airport 5/6 times per year, I am always required to show my passport. Perhaps it’s just me that looks dodgy?
It is not bullshit however despite your ‘extensive travel’ experience!

You do know there is more, much more to Europe than  southern Spain?

A system that already works perfectly well in the States, I don’t see what the problem is.

Schiphol, Limoges, Brussels, Budapest & Dublin in the last 12 months. Don’t recall just wandering through arrivals at any of them without a request to see my passport.

Of course you show your passport. It's an ID document, but in my experience it's just a cursory glance, takes no more than a second or two. Before we were in the EU the Brits were in the long queue which is where we'll be again once we revert to 2nd class citizens.

The queue for EU passengers is normally way way shorter than the non-EU queue.

I guess it depends on the Airport, I wonder how many non-EU flights arrive in Malaga for example compared to flights from within the EU or Glasgow Airport perhaps for passengers heading into Scotland?
The numbers must be hugely weighted to flights from within the EU?

I voted to remain Willie, but I think you’re over playing it a wee bit.
The ones screaming that we’ll now be waiting hours and hours on end queuing at Faro Airport are just as bad as the Blue Passport Brigade.

Cost, inconvenience and restriction of travel freedoms.
Totally unecessary...... but for the britnats that voted away our EU citizenship.

The biggest single cause of delays (in processing passengers) at European airports is Strike Action, it matters little that you are an EU Citizen or not.

I'd have to politely disagree m8. Last year in France and Spain was just waved through. Absolutely no wait...

Any queue where you have to prove you have a visa, money, an address in the country you're visiting and your reasons for being there, is bound to be longer than flashing your passport.

How does he? At no point has he said that the Scottish people shouldn't be allowed to decide their national future.

Funnily enough, he has historically always wanted NI to leave the UK. This is a prime example of his selective approach to issues - Ireland he cares about, for whatever reason, Scotland, he doesn’t. He’s content to be led on the issue of Scotland’s future (although broadly he appears to be against independence, and the right to decide again on it, because his Socialist vision only includes Great Britain).

Yep sure, but travellers from the U.S, Canada, Australia and New Zealand etc.. can visit most EU Countries as a visitor usually for up to 90 days without a Visa, do you think the EU will make a separate administrative arrangement for British Passport holders?

More questions at the border though, and obviously a longer queue. The system is changing for everyone outside the EU.

I holidayed in the USA for more than twenty years, and one of the reasons we stopped going was the total mess of their system. Half the time you were on the verge of missing any connecting flight because of the horrendous queues and the complete dicks running the customs and the TSA. The system does not work well it is a shambles
