I have a great many reservations about the Labour Party and find large swathes of the party repulsive but Corbyn ran a great campaign and I believe in him as much as I've believed in any politician ever. I bought into the indyref project more than any SNP politician and until another referendum is launched I'm likely done supporting the SNP barring the melts in the PLP reestablishing control.

The SNP are Labour Lite and the bribes they are paying from taxpayers money to keep their voters on board until indy will be clawed back if they ever succeed.

I like Corbyn far more than his party and its careerists. Still, I've never been able to understand his strange attitude towards the UK state. On the one hand, he has stated his belief that NI should leave the UK; on the other, he believes that Scotland absolutely should not.

I think there's a lot of people with good politics and with a lot of good analysis who lose the heid when it comes to discussing Scottish independence. Or maybe there's a curse at the heart of the Labour Party.

The Europeans are going to run rings around these clowns. Could be a good or bad thing really.

If the Brits realise how much they're being bitched about, take a huffy and flounce off without a deal, we're in trouble. If Europe can serve up a nice soft Brexit and wave it about making plane noises until Davis and co swallow it, I'll take it.

No Labour MPs in NI (and there never will be, either).

What happened to "They need us more than we need them" ?

This is going to be a mess for the UK isn't it?  I can see the Tories throwing an election hoping they lose so they can blame Jeremy...

Beermonkey's one step ahead of you there. Even the one we've just had was actually an attempt to stop Brexit.

Think it goes deeper than that given there were three NI MPs that could be depended on to take the Labour whip on anything important up until June 8th. A lot of Labour lefties view the island of Ireland in very simplistic terms because they see it as having been a colony rather than an integral part of the UK, so even though Labour's welfare state policies would have benefited the Irish working class a lot more than de Valera and Fianna Fail's ever did that's pretty much the last thing you are ever going to hear a Corbynite argue as they would sooner virtue signal about their willingness to be anti-colonialist than push the virtues of having a good dose of democratic socialism implemented right across the British Isles.
