If Sutton is right in his view that he doesn't want the job anymore, then he'd be as well going and limiting the damage. At present we may even finish fifth in this hardly terrifying group. Very depressing stuff. The first objective was to not be out of the reckoning by the time we went to Wembley with a relatively easy start to the group. Strachan has failed at both and has to go. England have so far won with a last minute goal, beat Malta 2-0 at home and drawn with Slovenia, while Slovakia had lost their opening two games yet we're STILL out of contention to qualify after 3 games. There was no better time to qualify for a world cup as this is an extremely poor group, and to have 7 games left and have basically no chance is one of my most embarrassing memories as a Scotland fan, and there have been plenty.
