D33K0
Hi. My son joined a 7's side last season and where the ref's didn't take issue with him wearing glasses. This season they are now at 11's level where it is more black n white and he can't wear them. Contact lenses aren't an option for him so I've looked into sports goggles and his current optition is as competitive as others out there and I was about to ask them to get a pair in for him. However, a guy has said to me to hold off as there's a grant available to teams / players of young players that means you would only pay £25-ish for them. Has anyone heard of such a thing because I can't find anything about it online through the youth football forums and organisations. I don't want to hold of long in getting the goggles because in training with glasses on he's sharper on passing, tackling and following the ball. If he gets a game, without his glasses I see the difference it makes between seeing properly and not. Thanks for any input you guys might have
