AMMjag
Good, I was convinced Strachan was going to give him another key role in the next campaign.
kenny131
Like him or loathe him, a fully fit Scott Brown played great for Scotland forget the last 2/3 years of injuries and playing clearly not fit. He reached 50 caps and gave his all for his country, if his body needs looking after he will know hence retiring. Rather than slating a player who got 50 caps and let's be honest gave his all in every match for his country sometimes to I'll effect, but he was scottish through and through any player who has the privilege to play for scotland and we can see gives there all gets my thumbs up. Over the last decade we have seen some right dross in the team Scott Brown was not 1 of them he will be missed in the team.

Gordopolis
Would have been good to have him for the nations league but tbh he's in decline anyway and it's time for McGinn or whoever else to step up
Enigma
While I don’t think you ever should retire from international football, hopefully there’ll be no slithering back if we actually get to Euro 2020.
Richey Edwards
I hope he stays retired this time. Time to phase out the old guard and give younger players a shot.
No_Problemo
We missed him hugely when he retired - let’s hope someone else takes on the dirty side of the game.
GordonD
Was he worried that Celtic would find out he isn't Irish?
williemillersmoustache
He was great for Scotland when he played and a disgrace when he just couldn't be arsed. I will remember his time as Scotland captain with an overly generous ambivalence considering his personal and collective failures.
Dindeleux
If we want him to come back we can just organise a glamour friendly with Brazil or someone similar and I’m sure he’ll be there.

topcat(The most tip top)
I got conned last time he supposedly “retired” and ended up accidentally watching a Scotland side with him in it I felt dirty and betrayed So I’m not celebrating yet

Sherrif John Bunnell
More retirements than Ric Flair and the Rolling Stones combined.

derbydan
When did this "Retiring" nonsense start! Did players in the past just not get picked as they got older? I don't remember players of the John Greig and Billy McNeil era retiring from international football!
Peppino Impastato
Good decision, it is very important to stay fresh for utter horsings from every decent team Celtic play in Europe. Complete mediocrity is important.
GordonS
Hard to think why a 32 year old veteran player would not fancy crossing an ocean to play meaningless matches against Peru and Mexico, which prepare us for precisely nothing, losing more than a quarter of the time before his next match, which is a qualifier for a tournament that leads to games against the best clubs in Europe. Yeah, it's a puzzler. He might even be giving up four games against Israel and Albania too. This is by far the worst Scotland squad ever. We have two decent left backs, a few adequate midfielders and two goalies, no competent centre halves and no goalscorers. Hardly an appealing prospect for a player with a rapidly diminishing number of matches left in his legs.

No voter found /\ Griffiths has 250 career goals and brown can be excused from those friendlies without retiring. And this is the best squad we've had for 10 years. You're an idiot.
