Two points dropped today for EK at home to Stirling Uni.  We started very slowly (again) and for 10 - 15 mins we struggled to put two passes together by which time the visitors had taken the lead.   From that point on EK dominated possession and drew level just before the half hour via Sean Winter (returning after injury) but despite being on the front foot and having several nice passages of play EK struggled to get beyond looking threatening.  Thinking back the Stirling goalkeeper only had to make around 3 good saves of note although credit to Stirling for defending doggedly and fighting hard for the whole match.

This was a strong starting lineup from EK and for me young Michael Anderson was outstanding but as with any level of football if you don't create and take chances you'll struggle to score goals and win games.

For us lovers of stats there is an interesting piece in the East Kilbride News today which says that whoever has led LL after 9 games has always gone on to win since the league was started up:

There are of course a couple of caveats to this. Firstly 9 is a fairly arbitrary number: 10 would be 1/3 way through, and 15 would be 1/2 through after (postponements etc aside) everyone had played everyone else once. Secondly last season was the first with 30 league games, of which 9 is 30% through: before that it was 28 games (32%), 26 games (35%) and to begin with 22 games (41%).
