Jesus Christ. MOTD have out-Sky'd Sky. According to Steve Wilson Pedro scored 'a fantastic goal...out of the top drawer...an absolute wonder strike...a goal of unparalleled brilliance...quite fantastic.' :barf

I thought it was 'a cracker' myself.

Well done Phil Neville for telling it like he finds it. So many folk on here have a go at everyone in England....Sky...BT etc who claim the EPL is the best league in the the world when it quite clearly isn't.

Virgin Ton talking pish as usual:blink:

To be fair to VT, Neiville started off by saying that the Premier League lacked intensity then said that the reason Barcelona, Real Madrid and Monaco are do exciting to watch is that they can play at 60% and still beat teams. Chapman tried to ask about that but the two pundits went off on one instead. To compound that, after saying that Barcelona can play at 60% and still win, Neill said that the next 7 or 8 teams are better than those in England - which while probably correct, makes a mockery of his "not needing to play with any intensity" argument.

His main point, that the Premier League isn't very good, is fair enough. But he should have mentioned the huge transfer fees and wages on average at best players rather than mumbling something about winter breaks (which the Monaco example again disproved as they've had to play more games in less time than most of the English clubs) and somehow trying to compare Liverpool v Southampton to a Madrid derby Champions League semi final.

Nobody knew what he was talking about because he kept shifting the goalposts during his five minute breakdown. Hardly surprising that you empathise with a cretin who is incapable of making a coherent point though.

Shearer saying that Sunderland fans should get their money back after the bad performance of their team.

No they shouldn't. When you go to a game you're fully aware that your team may play crap and lose the game. It isn't the club's problem.
