Tell me something guys.....Why is the TV so obsessed with showing this fixture?

In the last 5 years you pair meeting must've been shown over a dozen times.

Not trying to cause offence but it's not like the game is usually a classic.

Probably because we're both regulars in the top half....

The games are usually utter shitfests though, and Aberdeen deciding to go all physical this year it'll only get worse.

I think BT had the rights for 3 of the 4 games, so it was pretty likely we'd be picked.

There were 18 goals between the sides in four games last season, not many fixtures could better that. Only 1 of those games was shown live on TV as well!

I'd say 'the TV' is more obsessed with Falkirk vs Rangers/Hibs. At least Dons vs Saints is an all prem top 6 clash.

Ok, calm down.

I only asked a question.

The games between the two are either shitfests or goalfests!  It does seem to have featured a fair bit on to the past two seasons, but all at McD other than the Stevie May semi final at ibrox, so nice for a Saints away game to be covered.

Having said that, the tv company's have picked 3 matches and missed what will probably be the best cup tie for the neutral with the best atmosphere.. Morton v Dundee U.

The two old firm ties you would expect to be shite one sided affairs, Aberdeen v Saints is an all prem affair that play each other 4 times a season anyway, though it might be a decent even game, but Cappielow could be quite lively and a close contest.

They will, but for the first time in years.  Saints and Aberdeen have played each other 15 times in the past 3 seasons + first month of this one.  I think at least 5 of those matches have been live on tv.

It might well be tie of the round though.

Attention for us turns to this now. Apparently Foster is cup tied, so our injury ravaged defence now sits with its numbers at three. Assume one of Gilchrist, Gordon or Comrie will come into the team. A massive test for whichever one gets selected.
