That loss is on Campbell. Another game where we take the lead and he tried to shut up shop

Take off striker and put on 5th defender, then invite opposition forward while having fewer out ball options?

seen it before. It'll be #TheNewArbroathWay

Gold and Phillips were absolutely tremendous tonight I thought, especially Phillips. Buzzing for Hester too especially after Dick's comments. Taking him off meant East Fife were able to pass the ball around the back with little or no pressure from Doris. It's literally the third fucking game in a row where we've gone ahead and sat off the opposition!Good luck to EF in the next round.

Thought Arbroath looked decent tonight. 3 decent central midfielders in Scott, McCord and Whatley. Wasn't a lot between the teams tbh with both having spells in the game where they had the upper hand. The introduction of Robinson and the Gaffer made a big difference after half time and then bringing on McManus gave us more guile up front. Really felt for Ryan Goodfellow with Arbroaths second goal. Hester misfit his shot but Goody had anticipated a more powerful effort and was down early and the ball spun over him into the net.

The penalty which lead to the winner was pretty much a stonewaller although the Referee had to rely on his assistant. How the tackle didn't result in a red card is beyond me as Shagger was moving towards goal, getting ahead of the defender with only the keeper ahead of him. An obvious scoring opportunity.

Glad to be through to the next round. All the best to Arbroath for the season ahead. Think they will have a decent season and will be involved in the race for promotion come the business end of the season.

Good performance by the 'broath tonight - but we really should have won the much ( a combination of hitting the post some and decent saves by East Fife's keeper kept the Fifers in the game ).

It's easy to say in hindsight, but we should have kept Hester on in the final minutes and should have pushed for another goal - attack is usually the best form of defence.

A close game between two good teams, but thought Arbroath had the edge and should have won.
