JamieStevenson
Now that the main matches are set in stone it's time to look forward to another edition of the biggest party of the summer. The brands are split again so it'll be interesting to see how well represented Smackdown are on the big PPV's. It hasn't been confirmed as being a four hour show yet but we can assume so with it having a special start time. Raw and Smackdown appear to be taking different approaches to this new era. Raw are giving opportunities to up and comers, the future (Sasha, Balor etc). Smackdown on the other hand are looking to thrive by reviving some careers that looked very much in the past (Rhyno, Benjamin & even Ziggler). Here are our official SummerSlam themes: Shout out to the returning Jon Stewart. Confirmed Matches: Sami Zayn & Neville vs The Dudley Boyz. (Kickoff Match) American Alpha, The Hype Bros & The Usos vs Breezango, The Ascension & The Vaudevillians. (Kickoff Match) Carmella, Becky Lynch & Naomi vs Natalya & Alexa Bliss. Cesaro vs Sheamus. (First match in a best of 7 series) Enzo Amore & Big Cass vs Chris Jericho & Kevin Owens. The Miz (C) vs Apollo Crews for the Intercontinental Championship. The New Day (C) vs Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows for the WWE World Tag Team Championships. Rusev (C) vs Roman Reigns for the United States Championship. John Cena vs AJ Styles. Sasha Banks (C) vs Charlotte for the WWE Woman's Championship. Brock Lesnar. vs Randy Orton. Dean Ambrose (C) vs Dolph Ziggler for the WWE World Championship. Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship.
Francesc Fabregas
Absolutely pumped for Finn Balor's match with Seth Rollins, it's going to be a goddamn cracker. On the flipside, I have no interest in seeing Dolph Ziggler towards the top of the card. Maybe after Survivor Series 2014, but not here, not now. JamieStevenson
I love Ziggler and obviously want him to do well but the timing is just all wrong. They've just given a title shot to a jobber and hoped everyone would accept this. The build up better be bloody good.
Guest bernardblack
Any chance on Reigns continued punishment leaving him out of Summerslam altogether?!

Roman Reigns' matches this year (with the exception of his dull WrestleMania encounter with Triple H) have all been really good. The guy's a great wrestler and I always look forward to his fights. Ira Gaines
Because that's what a punishment is. They're clearly pissed whether he's good or not.

Kryptonite
Card looks a topper. Last years effort I felt was poor. 2014 effort is up there in my top 3 WWE PPVs (along with Summerslam 2002 & Mania 19). Would love Kurt Angle to challenge Rusev for the U.S belt. More chance of me being there sadly.

forameus
As of RAW last night, Reigns looks like he'll be facing Rusev for the title. Probably the right decision - let the guy build himself up in the midcard and people might (unlikely) get back on side with him.

Preferably playing the role he plays in Camp WWE. WOOOOOOOOOOOOO! On a more serious note, looking like this show's going to be another 4 hour one. Given their propensity to go even longer, we could be looking at 4h15 or beyond. I guess we can now treat each show as separate, so there's still 2 RAWs and 3 Smackdowns to set things up, but I can't help but feeling we're going to get some dross to fill in the time. Great at the top of the card, four very interesting matches, but beyond that they're going to struggle to put real quality together to fill the time. Are we going to get some musical interludes? Interviews? Smackdown and RAW announce teams having a scrap? King Ross invasion? If all the matches Jamie put up happen (minus the pre-show guff) we'll have eight matches. That could stretch if they give the top of the card real time to work in, but surely there's got to be something more huge in there given how much they push Summerslam these days. Aye I meant his punishment. I actually think he's growing as a performer. Huge feeling Rusev will win clean though
JamieStevenson
SummerSlam looks pretty much set in stone now. Probably just waiting for Smackdown to give us some Kickoff Show matches.

Kryptonite
Here's a question, who'll go on last? For me, the WWE title should always main event. Have a feeling it'll be Orton-Lesnar though.
JamieStevenson
15 years in the making though
DA Baracus
Putting either of the title matches on would lead some to accuse them of favouring one 'brand' over the other (even though Raw will always be the top show). Therefore to appear more neutral it would make sense to have Orton/Lesnar on last given it features a competitor from each 'brand'.

Christophe
They called Lesnar vs Orton "the biggest match in SummerSlam history" on Raw this week. It will absolutely close the show
Ira Gaines
Aye. I'm going with this as well. Neither title match is big enough anyway.
