Good win for Coldstream today. Why were the games at Ormiston and Tweedmouth P-P? It can't be the weather surely.

tweedmouth international clearance and if ormiston meant to play burntisland, burntisland couldn't raise a team I heard.

Was speaking to a lad who plays for Pencaitland Amateurs and was at Ormiston last season said since manager has left they have been struggling to get players in. Couple the lads who played for them last season now playing for Pencaitland.

It doesn't look good when clubs can't raise a team for the first game of the season. Does Tweedmouth need international clearance for their club to play in a Scottish League or is it some of their players needing clearance? Either way you'd think it would be have been all processed by now as it's a while since Tweedmouth were accepted into the EOSFL.

Was Burntisland pal ormi had a team

Wasn't sure as had spoke to boy who runs pencaitland as they got declan quinn and couple others from ormiston.

Sad state of affairs not being able to get a team first game of season. Hopefully they can get a team for Wednesday against Lothian.

A pretty ominous start with two games called off at short notice, particularly Burntisland, just shows that SFA Licences mean absolutely nothing if you can’t raise a team.

It’s interesting that both Duns and now Burntisland suffered because of on field problems, despite being well run clubs off the field.  I notice that the EoS website has said nothing on the matter.

Normally the first day of the season is a time for a fresh start, optimism and positive hopes for the new campaign.

Sadly two teams being unable to put teams on the park for various reasons, and another going down 7-0 at home, does the opposite.

Also frustrating for Leith who are building-up for a huge Scottish Cup tie a week on Saturday, but at least they've a game tomorrow (v Heriot-Watt) and on Saturday (at Tynecastle).

A poor start to the league with 2 games having to be postponed due to player issues, especially a club not being able to raise a side for the opening day. You have to really fear for the long term future of the EOSL, the formation of the LL has really killed it taking most of the clubs and the one's left being frustrated and some bailing out to the juniors.

I like watching non league football at all levels when Cowden arn't playing, LL, EOS and junior and its really sad to see where the EOSL finds itself these days.

I wonder how many clubs are looking at options now, even as the season opens, as to what to do next season to ensure they have a league to play in.

Do you think they should all be admitted to the district level or would you advocate for the top teams to be admitted higher up?
