diamond_for_life Posted July 26, 2016 Share Posted July 26, 2016 Just venting my frustrarion here. Back the winner in the 4:55 at Goodwood. £20 on it at 7/1. Put the bet on at 4:00. Check my account to find I only get half my winnings due to the fact the favourite was withdrawn seconds before the race started. Absolute farcical I know the bookies don't like paying out but seconds before a race and punters just have to be happy with it. Utter pish !! The favourite horse was removed from the race, increasing the chances of the other horses to win the race etc. The 7/1 shot is no longer a 7/1 shot.
